Is the spanish poker spanish regulation a bad sign?

I mean it's ok being regulated and everything but spanish people can only play against spanish people. We can't play against american or spanish fish anymore seem's like one thing after another hurts the poker world.

Will other countries follow suit and be forced to play against each other? I mean surely the whole point is play across people all over the world.

Is there any light at the end of the tunnel?

I can't find the link now, but a few months ago there was an article saying that Italy and France were in 'secret' negotiations to merge EU player pools, similar to what the US hopes to do state-by-state.

Move to another part of the EU. If you are a citizen of one country, you effectively have citizenship rights for all countries and will be allowed to play anywhere in the EU.
