Oh, you never know. enough people pulling in the same direction, well, it can really accomplish alot. See B of A...Verizon, Governments plan to require religons to provide birth control. All of these above were turned around 180 degrees by nothing other than public participation. That said, each example was able to field FAR more than 7700 people on the ground. If thats a true figure, we got alot of work to do. There is such a thing in C.C. ( congress critter ) land, that says if we make a big enough pain of ourselves, we might get what we want, just to get us to shut up, and let them have their election in peace. So that means, a bunch of us are going to have to send twice the tweets and facebook posts that Rich requests. Lets do the math...say we get 6000 out of the 7700, to participate daily. And each one of us sends more communications than Rich requests. By my little adding machine, thats well over 10,000 pieces of communication. Every single day. Thats a start. By the way, I'm from Mint Hill

Re: How are "opportunities" for the collective daily action plan found?

I to have a love hate relationship with the PPA, and I sometimes call it the Poker Pros Alliance though I'm sure some pros will find reasons to do weekly rants abbout the PPA considering 2 of its former members but that said they did buy valuable time for poker players in the beginning but since Black Friday they gotten bogged down in the menusha of congressional committees and like the Obama adminstration they be willing to compromise our rights away to far right Republicans like Jon Kyl who keep moving the goal post further and further to the extreme right.
Here are 3 ideas one I have started to act on and two in the planning stages
1.) Occupy Poker is an idea I have that would be an offshoot of the Occupy Wallstreet community it would be the first Occupy group to push an issue and a legislative platform which I laid out in my on thread. Our motto will be If we cant Occupy Our Time well Occupy Yours. This could also lead to other Occupy groups like Occupy Abortion Rights, Occupy Gay Rights, Occupy Voting Rights, Occupy Worker Rights and so on.
2.) An Outreach Program, infiltrating groups is a bad idea but every time I do a thread abount online line poker rights, I express why what we are fighting for is so important and it relates to issues like abortion, civil rights, voting rights and other personal freedoms and I remind people that SOPA the Stop Online Priacy Act could be passed in the same way the UIGEA act was passed under the cover of darkness.
3.) Start online poker threads on political forums like the Young Turks for example when view wrote in to Cenk Uyger about SOPA he had various segments in of his Young Turks TV show on Current TV. Ranting on Poker forums along wont bring any more attention to this issue than it already has stop preaching to the choir you need to voice your concerns on other venues which is what I started to do.
Finally the PPA won't be able do this alone and we need to remind them that they represent poker players and that poker players belive that sucess rewards aggression and that they have to drive the action and remind our members of congress they can be the chips in their stack or their opponets stack and we can work with you or against you.
I believe that this approach will get online poker back and on our terms not those of the rich and powerful
