Do you have to use your real name, address, etc when singing up to facebook or can we just make something up. I don't want to put my real name and w/e on facebook, I don't want to be bothered by people(friends, family) who will see I have a facebook account and want me to "chat" with all day or be annoyed by any other **** that goes on the facebook.

i know exactly how you feel, man. i just spent the last 10 minutes hiding all the congressional facebook updates from my feed, and seeing all the posts my "friends" make really strengthens my resolve to never use it socially.

but then again i use the forums so who the fk am i to judge.

Great thanks. If we don't use our real names does this cause a problem when responding to lawmakers if they don't know what district we live in? Or does this not matter on facebook for our what we're trying to accomplish.

Sorry for the dumb questions as I don't understand how facebook works.

Anyway I'm creating a facebook account so I can "like" along with everyone else. Just got to come with a name LOL

Would 'Abbott Trey Fiddy' be a good name or would something like that get banned by facebook

I'd make it something realistic. For your purpose, I think a John Smith or something would have a bigger impact.

I'd say make a realistic sounding name.

I guess they don't IP ban you so if we get banned we can just create another account. So if I do get the ban hammer with my Abbott Trey Fiddy account I can just make a new one. I'll make a more normal sounding name I guess if this one gets banned.

You can just make a public page. Online Poker in the USA is mine. A few others have been using them.

I'm not as concerned about the banhammer as I am the staffer ignoring you.

Recurring action:Tell the Debt Super Committee to Include Online Poker Legislation

U.S. House and Senate leaders have appointed twelve members of Congress to serve on the Joint Select Committee on Deficit Reduction. This “super committee" is charged with developing policies to reduce the U.S. deficit and then make specific recommendations to Congress which will be voted on. This is a great opportunity for us to make our voices heard. Let's go to their Facebook pages and let them know that we want them to take action on the online poker issue!

The names with an “x” in front of them are those who do not allow direct posting on their Facebook wall. Simply post a comment in response to an appropriate post (i.e., one suitable for a pro-poker comment) already on the page. PLEASE remember to say please and thank you. Courtesy goes a long way.

Let's all also remember to revisit these walls to like the pro-poker posts and comments made since your last visit. Thanks!

Here's the Super Committee:

I can't get the YouTube vote to work. I signed into YouTube. I tried the check and the skip. Both take me to a Google verify, which I allowed, then a completely blank page is all I get. Any idea of what is wrong?

It worked fine for me. Perhaps try going directly to the site and voting on it from there (just use "poker" as the search term and vote all of them up): http://www.youtube.com/yttownhallquestions

That way I had a thumbs up to click on which took me to a page with this on it:

I clicked on [Grant Access] and it went to a blank page. I don't know if it took the vote or not.

Yea I'm having problems too. I vote, then a google grant/deny access page comes up. I click grant, but then the page just goes blank and when I go back my vote isn't counted.

Maybe they will get it fixed soon. I'll wait a while and try again. Work or not that time I'll go to google and change my password.

It doesn't really tell you anything after you vote. Just log in and click the check/thumbs-up.

We're #1 in the voting now....let's keep it up!

That's good...it means your vote was registered. If you instead get a blank screen or a login screen, it was not.
