Cyber Security Bill set to be voted on 4/23

So I have been reading up on the Cyber Securities Bill and, by most accounts, it is set to be voted on tomorrow. The PPA has mentioned this bill as a good vehicle to move a federal poker bill as an attachment to because it is germane to our efforts. I haven't been reading much in the forums regarding this bill as the vote for it inches closer and closer and I'm wondering why that may be.

Do we not think this has much of a chance of being attached and/or the CISPA bill passing so there's not too much chatter about it ?

Facebook supports this bill and, while I've read how imperfect and broad this bill is, I wonder if everyone is realizing this is a jagged pill to swallow if poker becomes a rider to CISPA, and perhaps that's why we're not hearing more about this on the eve of the CISPA vote..? I'd appreciate any insight you all may have on a) this bill passing and b) if a poker bill could end up as an attachment to it.

Thanks in advance

I seriously, seriously doubt that there is a chance of an i-poker bill being tacked on to any bill without news of such possible attachment being leaked for one reason or another long before the bill is voted on.

i think we have an EXTREMELY good chance of being attached to this at the last minute, this time: even SILENTER than before.

those of us who have been paying attention to reid's pushes for ipoker legislation have seen reid make his moves silentlyer and more silentlyer and the next time he strikes we won't even ****in KNOW about it. that mother****er's a ****ing ninja and the fact that his future movements continue to elude even me only confirms that speculation to be nothing more than a cold hard FACT.

I'm really just looking for honest opinions.. I didn't make this post for you to take yet another opportunity to try and be funny. I appreciate your efforts but you do it in so many posts that I'd appreciate it if you took the sarcasm and 'attempt-at-being-funny' elsewhere if you dont have anything relevant to contribute. Thanks.

so you don't think we'll see an attachment without warning? well it's a day away, so that'd have to be the case if there's anything to speculate about.

the first time reid tried to attach he didn't say ****, but we heard rumors and a draft leaked, the second time reid tried to attach he didn't say ****, and we only heard rumblings and rumors, the third time reid tries to attach....? what should we expect?

i expect no warning at all; a minute-to-minute sweatlodge for online poker that ends when it ends.

SA, bring the super cute Asian back, and I'll put you back on my top 5 posters list.

TDE, how is it a misconception? SA seems to base his seemingly facetious post on actual past experience...

1. i'm doing the same thing, but backwards. maybe we can meet in the middle?

2. i'm sorry if my use of capitalization and italics sometimes comes off as insincere or sarcastic, but i refuse to sacrifice proper emphasis for readability.

If it passes the House it will still have to be introduced or merged with another cybersecurity bill in the Senate. I wouldn't anticipate any sweats until that point. I'm honestly not expecting much until Lame Duck to be honest.

I apologize, I am one of those internet *******s:)

I participate in the Daily Action Plan, but frankly, I don't believe anymore. I just don't. I barely even remember the rules to Hold 'Em.

It's allegedly the new SOPA. The whole internet rized up against SOPA only for it to be re-marketed under new name.
http://news.cnet.com/8301-1023_3-574...d-you-of-sopa/

They pointed out that CISPA has nothing to do with domain seizures. This is true on the surface, yet under the hood the bill is designed to give the Homeland Security entities involved in ongoing domain seizures a broad range of shiny new tools to use for shutdowns.

This has to be the most fascist country in this century.
