I would guess that COPA is now on board with the bill, since the amendments match what they wanted. I wonder who else is switched from opposing to backing.
Any update to tribes on this list who now support SB1463? Or does anyone know what properties these tribes own? Barona, Viejas, and Pechanga stick out to me but idk the rest.

I'm going to start researching it and propose that someone more established on 2p2 please make some kind of CA opposing tribe boycott thread. If a week has passed and no one has taken it up i'll start one. By refusing to play at and contacting these card rooms to let them know this and also our views, we can impact a future bill at the very least even if it's too late for SB1463.

Reason.tv: The Politics of Poker and Why It's Time to Legalize Online Gaming

"There's no way that we can do something that might be the death knell for our industry," says David Quintana, lobbyist for the California Tribal Business Alliance, which opposes any form of online poker legalization on the grounds that it could negatively affect the economic activity of California's Indian tribes.

"You have to fight it as long as you can," says Quintana. "Why speed up the inevitability, right? Put it off as long as you can."

The CA Tribal Business Alliance's three members are the Lytton Rancheria of California, the Pala Band of Luiseño Indians, and the Paskenta Band of Nomlaki Indians of California.
We can add Pala to the list of opposing casinos and cardrooms. I'll post a list later or tomorrow of as many of them as I can find.

Re: California Senate leader co-sponsors Internet gambling bill

Here is a list of the opposing tribes casino's and cardroom's. I'll look deeper into who is behind the alliances.

Agua Caliente Resort - Rancho Mirage, CA
Habernatolel Pomo Running Creek Casino - Upper Lake, CA (Opened in May 2012)
San Pablo Lytton Casino - San Pablo, CA
Rolling Hills Casino - Corning, CA
Table Mountain Casino - Fresno, CA
Cache Creek Casino - Capay Valley, CA
Viejas Casino - Alpine, CA
Pala Casino - San Diego, CA
Barona Casino - Lakeside, CA
Pechanga Casino - Temecula, CA

A few days left for anyone more 2p2 established and experienced to please make the boycott thread if interested. It needs all the love it can get when asking people not to go to their favorite usual casino.

Also people can always contact the places they don't go to let them know they refuse to gamble there for opposing Ipoker

Very informative cardsshark. No chance of sb 1463 to be re introduced any time soon then? Hopefully "inevitability" comes sooner than later.

CSM, we could use your help in the soon to be, California Boycott/Action Thread that either Micro McD or one of the 2p2 veterans will start soon.

Another one bites the dust. It's just laughably predictable at this point. What is a boycott going to do?

What is continuing to give money to places that are keeping online poker away from us and us saying nothing going to do? A hell of a lot less in the eyes of tribes and Politicians.

It's been the tribes with the loudest voice in this one, and they're winning because of it. Look at some of these LOL tribes opposing us, our stance is that weak.

I've already been refusing to go and hitting up my local casino to to let them know for weeks, and I personally plan on never going to any of these places in my life if they still oppose online poker once it comes around again.

Nobody is forcing anybody to do anything, just suggesting we stick up for ourselves in this and fight back. If you don't care about playing online poker for a few years fine, contribute nothing and vote Romney like that half of America, it's everyone's own choice and right.

I think Micro McD is right,

The tribes are killing the bill in Ca right now and anything we can do to change their position is a huge win for us. The Daily Action Plan has been a huge success and if we can get something similar for Ca it will help.
