When could poker come to Charles Town, WV? - Page 11 - Poker Legislation

Oh there are a lot of bad poker players in the area, I am sort of sad this will kill my home games that I have had to myself. But the chance to shoot fish in a barrel is exciting.

I think the games will be good there. Locals should be soft, but in NoVA I hear there is some creative players. Should be a good mix. I'm real excited. I just hope they have more than 25 tables...40 will be nice. I want good table selection.

Wonder how many good players (such as 2+2ers) will go there from MD/VA/DC? The games may not be easy though. But hey, 1 hour sure beats 3.5 hr to AC.

I think that Initially the games will be rather soft because you will have a lot of players from the Va Dc area that were not willing to drive to AC to play that will drive to Charlestown that will be you typical, "I watched poker on tv" type of player.

Im very excited for the table games passing and I really hope that they put together a nice poker room with a nice assortment of buyins for tourneys.

Either way my 4-5 hour trip to AC is now cut down to 10 minutes!!

I never had any idea this was up for a vote, glad to see it passed (I'm ~75 minutes away in Fairfax).

I do worry about game quality, though. Sure, it may be wonderful for a couple weeks or months, but I think the tuna are still going to prefer AC because of the beach, the nightlife, etc. Who knows.

I believe you're saying a lot of DMV's cashed here. And, I bet that the field of players are skewed with more PA,NJ & NY players which which would also say something about the DMV players.

Yeah, I think MillConsole, you're way off on this statement. There are some solid players in the MDV area. I think there will be a healthy mix of solid and soft players. Besides, I'm unsure if you want to be at a table full of station-calling donkies either.
