I just wanted to pop into the thread and thank all of you for putting in the time and effort to help all poker players in protecting their rights as adult Americans. If we continue to make these efforts, we will get the situation changed, and be able to play our game freely, live and online. For those who are reading this and haven't performed Mr. Muny's action items, as so many have said, it really does not take much time, and it does make a difference. Please do this for your sake, as well as ours. And for those of you who already did, again, thanks so much for your efforts.

Sincerely, Greg Raymer (FossilMan)

Let's also be sure to get page views for articles on the issue. I submitted a good article to digg.com, where I am a top 30 "digger". If you like the article, please upvote it here.

Let's focus on members of the House Committee on Energy and Commerce (The ones with an x in front of their names means they don't have open posting. Just respond to a post already on the page.) As we have a new event with the introduction of this poker bill, let's go ahead and continue to own these pages.

For manageability, I subdivided them into subgroups:

"I just left Congressman Barton's office and he said he's heard from a number of congressional offices that their Facebook pages and emails are getting overwhelmed with poker players, and that's a good thing," said John Pappas, executive director of the Poker Players Alliance.

good stuff imo

Started hitting up these pages, got through the "For" and "Hasn't Chosen Side" list before Facebook scolded me.

We should avoid Paul Ryan's page for the time being. He is getting Facebook bombed by some other group, so our posts will likely go unnoticed.

How do I stop Facebook from spamming my Friend's news feeds with all of these "Likes?" I changed my settings in Account - Privacy Settings - Connecting on Facebook - View Settings - See your likes, activities, and other connections (changed this to Customize - Only Me) - but these Likes are still showing up in my Friends' news feeds. Holy crap is that annoying.

It should only show up if your friend likes the same congressman.

Ok. Instead of "Connecting on Facebook" try "Sharing on Facebook."

Customize settings.

"Posts by Me" change to custom -- me only. That means they won't see any of your posts.

May I suggest a different option though? Go to the very bottom fine print on your profile page. Click on "create a page." Select any option and call it whatever you want. Though for our purposes, your name with a picture (like your real page) would be good. Once you've done this, you can basically toggle back and forth between the two pages by clicking on "account."

I am like-banned already today, so I'll be using my alias again.

That's not the case. I have a fake account that is only "Friends" with my real account. I made this account several months ago after Facebook's upteenth unannounced changes to its privacy settings, and I check it periodically to see what is visible to my FB friends about me.

That account's news feed is drowning in "Likes" from me.

You're only friends with yourself so you will probably see a lot of activity on yourself. Your friends probably have hundreds of friends where your activity probably doesn't show on the news feed? I'm guessing, but I know my mom's password and just logged her account and I see nothing on "likes" on her news feed and she is friends with me, and two other guys that frequently post on congressmen walls.
