Thanks! I really appreciate that.

Now that Black Friday has come and gone, and now that PPA has some affirmative changes in its structure, it is my hope that we will all come together to push forward for our rights.

I don't think he needs pressure, but some positive encouragement would certainly be helpful. Given that many poker players were not supportive of his last poker bill, letting him know that he can expect a better reception in the wake of Black Friday would surely be good.

For those of you who are super gung-ho with the facebook posting, here is a list of senator's who have 'easy' facebook walls, i.e. they allow open posting.

https://spreadsheets.google.com/spre...thkey=CILxl84G

A few of us have been going through the list and cut/pasting the same message to all their walls, as well as liking other pro-poker comments.

I just posted my response in every senator's wall I could - the 'easy' senator wall spreadsheet is amazing, I was just thinking of something like that. I posted until facebook told me I was spamming/going too fast and I had to type in letters to determine I wasn't a bot. Guess I'll do it again in a few hours lol

Liked all of them as well.

Really like this one:

Congresswoman, the Republican Party advertises itself as the party of small government, yet many of its leaders oppose basic freedoms like online poker. Will you support poker's regulation if you are elected President?"

I just went thru and put comments on every wall of the senators linked, is there a way to hide my posts from my friends? Halfway thru I just noticed IM basically spamming all my friends with my posts.

Are you sure they can see your posts? I think they can only see them if they "like" such and such senator. I could be wrong though.

edit: check with one of my friends and she couldn't see my posts

Nah I just checked on my mom's FB account and I can see all the posts.

edit: nevermind its showing that I liked other people's posts but not my own

We are getting great traction on Facebook. One excellent benefit is how it shows the ratio of support to opposition for our position for all to see. It's right there in front of the lawmakers' own eyes. Rep. Barton has cited our Facebook posts, so we know it works.

So, let's post pro-poker comments and "like" the pro-poker comments posted by others. Let's divide these up into manageable groups for each day, starting with these nine senators for today:
Recurring actions:

Let's continue to own other Facebook pages, too:
  • The House Financial Services Committee's Facebook page is here.
  • Let's get some posts on the House Committee on Energy and Commerce page (here)
  • The Dept. of Justice's page is here.
  • Senators' FB pages: Senator Facebook Listing
  • We need lots of posts on the issue of poker and lots of "liking" of pro-poker comments.
Let's also all send the PPA pre-written letters to our lawmakers. These will be updated when Rep. Barton's poker bill is introduced to the House (in other words, soon), so let's all get the current letters out before that. Once done, please reply ITT with "done", "sent", etc. to encourage others. Thanks!

Take Action Now and Contact your Lawmaker

Click Buttons to Send Letters in less than 60 seconds:

Finally, let's recruit others. Our personal recommendations of this effort will go far. The daily action plan takes very little time and there's no denying it's way +EV for the time invested. Once done, please post here that you made the request, along with posting your personal commitment to participate in the action plan. I created a short URL for this thread to help with sharing: http://******/takeaction

Thanks!

Done.

We need to pwn the hell out of Chris Coons' page:

http://www.facebook.com/pages/Chris-...=wall&filter=1

I got a mailed response from him a few days ago, and he is definitely a fence-sitter. His letter says that he recognizes the poker argument but is worried about expansion of gambling and how it would effect Delaware's (lolbad) casinos.
