did you do anything to effect change in the last six years? things like call a congressman, a legislator, form a committee, consult a lobbyist, propose legislation, talk to the media

well if not, what did you expect to change?

did you even send some tweets, comment on a facebook post or two? simple things like that, things that take less time than posting snark here?

If you are waiting for Pokerstars/PPA to change things, then you better be in a state that has a large commercial gaming industry or you're SOL. There are only a few states where the industry sees a return on investment for fighting for online, and the rest of the country is going to be left out

The problem is that the PPA, many of its members and other folks did plenty of all these actions and still lost all the battles to legalize online poker. It was a noble and good effort that failed.

The only issue is whether the election of Donald Trump will make a difference. Yes, the GOP is generally, though not completely, opposed to online poker. But Donald Trump is more an independent than a traditional Republican.

Will his "draining the swamp" and eliminating useless regulations include getting the federal government out of gambling?

*Emailing took me less than 30 SECONDS
*Tweeting took me less than 30 SECONDS

Three states now have fully licensed and regulated internet gaming: New Jersey, Nevada, and Delaware. Internet gaming is now a $200 million per year industry in New Jersey.

That number would be $800 million if they had a clue in NJ. Delaware action is obv a joke. I cant speak for nevada, there customer service, or there level of respect for poker and if they have any clue on how to run a successful business. Live poker/whatever offshore networks you can get on > nj regulated sites imo

The day i can come back here and report different i will. I cant wait.

This is my view for the most part. Online gaming hasn't lived up to the revenue hype. As a result, States have pushed other ways to increase revenue(like marijuana). There being no sports betting and fantasy being consider different under the law really hurts expansion too. Those are two much more popular politically than online poker.
