Exactly D$D, this is what Skall ghas refered too concerning my position and the one I believe poker should be after, place Poker with these games 9if you looked) and you really should, amazing what games are already legal.

And with these games the tax issues, age verification, ect. are all taken care of.

WW, and it's affiliates YAHOO, MSN, and AOL seem to have no trouble and these games via the mentioned affiliates are marketed on the same page where children play their games.

OK, now we need a two pronged attack.

First, someone with bucks who hopes to cash in on fully legal US poker establishes a site. This site is designed to increase consumer awareness of and interest in poker, the skill game, and PTSG.com

The site is free to join and there is no rake. There is advertising, just like www.padres.com a site of MLB.com.

The site is free to advertise itself just like MLB.com

If a nice crisp well done poker site similar to MLB.com is established and advertised, the poker players of the US will flock to it.

Any legal challange will necessarily involve MLB.com and a host of similar sites.

Since the DOJ is NOT about to take on MLB, Yahoo, and Microsoft, there should be smooth sailing for the "poker is skill" site.

After a period of time, poker will have been established as a skill game.

Then, the established site says, "we need more income to keep the site running." The site establishes a modest Fee, (rake). The government says, "whoa" that makes you a gambling site."

The site says, "pack it in your a$$, the mere presence of a fee doesn't render the game any less a skill game. The "house" is not in competition with the players, we just need to pay for the electricity."

And, we all play poker happily ever after.

That is the position we can hopefully win (placing poker with Solitaire, Bridge, Spades and other SKILL games) and another (let us not forget Chuck Humphries) and the 'contests' description the judge detailed out in the 2006 (just decided this summer, 2007) Fantasy Betting Case.

As I see it, we have three avenues to pursue in our efforts to have unhampered, advertised, fundable online poker.

Avenue 1: Our various legalization efforts, lobbying, writing congress, etc.

Avenue 2: The WTO effort. Having either the WTO force the US's hand, or having big companies force the congress's hand to protect their own hides.

Avenue 3: Legal challange and winning a decision that poker is a skill game same as ..... whatever. We need to enlist the promoters of ".... whatever" to help us out on avenue 1 so as to not have themselves get caught up in a legal battle involving their sites being dragged into a case as EXHIBIT ONE.

Full speed ahead on all three fronts.
