There is already a federal law restricting sports betting, which is an infringement on states' rights. "Legalizing" sports betting means getting rid of that federal law to leave it up to individual states to authorize and regulate sports betting.

There is no federal law preventing states from authorizing and regulating online poker. It's a state-by-state option. Trump would not be involved. The days of introducing a federal bill to authorize online poker are over. It's a states' rights issue.

Repealing the IGBA would tremendously help online poker.

Yep. But "legalizing sports betting" means repeal or amendment of PASPA, not IGBA.

Ok, if Pres. Trump is talking about repealing the Wire Act, then why not the IGBA?

[ ] Pres.-Elect Trump is talking about repealing the Wire Act.
[ ] Pres.-Elect Trump has repeal of PASPA as part of his presidential agenda because he commented on it in the past.
[ ] Repeal of PASPA for sports betting is equivalent to passing a federal bill to legalize and regulate online poker.
[ ] Repeal of IGBA is possible.
[ ] A federal bill needs to pass for states to legalize and regulate online poker.
[x] There's nothing here to see.
