You sure you followed all the steps exactly? Those are all automated at the FTP end, so there shouldn't be any reason for FTP support to send you an email (unless maybe there was something non-standard about your account, like it was frozen for investigation, etc.).

Re: Full Tilt Claims Administrator: Claims submission beginning Sept. 16th

this is the email hey sent me

Hello Cody,

Thank you for your email.

Unfortunately, Full Tilt Poker does not have access to your account balance information, and you will see no real money balance in your Full Tilt Poker account.

As you may know, on March 13, 2013, the United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York issued a press release announcing that The Garden City Group, Inc. has been retained to serve as the Claims Administrator for all cases pertaining to the process of reimbursing US players.

Please note that it is the Department of Justice who are fully responsible for establishing this process whereby eligible U.S. players will be able to seek compensation for their losses ("Petitions for Remission"). The Garden City Group, Inc. has been selected as Claims Administrator by the United States to process Petition for Remission claims submitted by the U.S. players.

Information about the claims administration will be posted on this website - www.fulltiltpokerclaims.com . Visiting this site will allow you to register to receive email notification regarding the commencement of the claim process and other important information. As well as email contact information there is a toll-free telephone number and a mailing address for written queries.

Unfortunately, we are simply not in a position to provide any further advice on this process - legal or otherwise. As this process is strictly within the control of the Department of Justice and not Full Tilt Poker, any further queries must be dealt with as part of this official process.

Regards,

Rui

That's what they send everyone from the US who contacts them. The method I posted is a workaround to get around that.

I'd select a range, like 4/1/11 - 5/20/11.

Re: Full Tilt Claims Administrator: Claims submission beginning Sept. 16th

I received this from someone who received this from Garden City Group. I phoned GCG and they neither confirmed nor denied it:

***************
The following persons are excluded from the Remission process and are not eligible for payment from the Full Tilt Poker ("FTP") Fund:

i. A past or present employee of FTP or any of its past or present affiliates;

ii. A past or present vendor of FTP that received compensation through FTP players' accounts;

iii. A past or present Team Full Tilt player;

iv. A past or present shareholder of FTP, Tiltware LLC, Kolyma Corporation A.V.V., Pocket Kings Ltd., Pocket Kings Consulting Ltd., Filco Ltd., Vantage Ltd., Ranston Ltd., Mail Media Ltd., or Full Tilt Poker Ltd.;

v. A past or present officer or director of FTP, Tiltware LLC, Kolyma Corporation A.V.V., Pocket Kings Ltd., Pocket Kings Consulting Ltd., Filco Ltd., Vantage Ltd., Ranston Ltd., Mail Media Ltd., or Full Tilt Poker Ltd. or any of their past or present affiliates;

vi. A defendant in any civil action or a claimant in any forfeiture action brought by the Department of Justice related to the violations alleged in this action, or any related action (or any of his or her affiliates, assigns, heirs, distributees, spouses, parents, children, or controlled entities); and

vii. A person who, as of the Petition filing deadline, has been the subject of criminal charges related to the violations alleged in this action, or any related action (or any of his or her affiliates, assigns, heirs, distributees, spouses, parents, children, or controlled entities).

Re: Full Tilt Claims Administrator: Claims submission beginning Sept. 16th

From the NVG thread [emphasis added]:

As I explained in my original post on the matter I was not sure of the law on this. Clearly, I could read the regulation and clearly, at least to me, an estate could not be subrogated for the victim. It did not seem fair or reasonable, even to me. But, in my research I could find no case law on point. Probably because there is no judicial review available in remissions cases. So, I called a friend at justice this morning and put the question to him. He, in turn, contacted a DOJ attorney in DC familiar with the AFMLS. It was this attorney's opinion that for the purposes of remission an estate CAN NOT be subrogated for the original victim. According to this DOJ attorney the regulation is "unambiguous" and "clearly defined".

Because this opinion was based on "just" a reading of the regulation, it seemed no more informed than my opinion. What I was looking for was a response from someone actually involved with AFMLS remissions with first hand knowledge. When dealing with laws you often can not trust what you read! So, I called the AFMLS myself and spoke to the duty attorney assigned to the remissions department. By chance she is also one of the attorneys working with GCG on the FTP case.

But, she told me the same thing. By regulation, an estate can not be subrogated for the original victim, However, and here is the good news, she also said that in an effort to "protect innocent victims" (see CAFRA & CVRA) it is now the "policy" of the DOJ/AFMLS to review petitions for remissions received from "estates" that legitimately prove in the petition that they are the proper legal representative of the decedent and to pay remissions directly to the decedent estate if the decedent otherwise qualified as a victim. According to her, the AFMLS will NOT accept petitions from individual "heirs" or any other assignee. As the DOJ has the sole authority to make these decisions it seems this is the "real law". Thanks go to Gioco for making me keep looking for the "correct" answer.

So, as is so often the case when dealing with my wife, even when I am right I am wrong.....sigh. Sorry for the confusion!

Now, on an even happier note. The AFMLS Attorney told me they are hoping to get to actual distributions in this case "much faster" than they have historically in similar cases. The AFMLS have already had discussions with GCG about paying the undisputed claims even before the disputed claims are all resolved if it appears that there will be sufficient monies to pay ALL claims, even those is dispute. Nothing has been decided yet, as they will have to wait to evaluate the volume and dollar amount of claims before making a final decision. But, just to have this as a consideration is good news, at least to me.

Obviously we will have to wait until the 16th to find out if this is true, but how would it be that affiliates aren't victims just as much as players?

To get your Full Tilt Poker balance, you'll have to download your account history. I just downloaded mine. Here's how to do it:
  • Go to FullTiltPoker.com and download the client.
  • Open the client and log in. Your old login credentials should still work.
  • Go to "Requests" in the menu bar and select "Account History...(Web)." A web page will open, where you can create a request for your history.
  • Select the date range for your request. I chose an end date a couple of weeks after Black Friday (choose something like 5/1/2011) and a start date a few months prior. Once done, click "submit."
  • You'll receive an email when the file is ready for download. Mine took just a few minutes.
  • Once you receive the email, select "Account History...(Web)" in the "Requests" menu of the FTP client, download the ZIP file from the web page that opens, and simply open the Excel-compatible spreadsheet.
  • If you don't have Excel (or a compatible spreadsheet program), you have some free options. One is to use Google Docs, at http://docs.google.com. Another is to download MS Excel Viewer at http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/downl...ils.aspx?id=10. I downloaded it myself to verify I could open this spreadsheet. It works fine. Another is to download LibreOffice.
  • For your FTP point balance, open the cashier in the client. While our cash balances are not there, our point balances are.
Thanks for providing this information, Rich. Made the process a breeze. Hope the rest goes as smoothly.

It will be a dead cert. Non-US affiliates didn't get a cent either. It wasn't even entertained. Stars washed their hands of any commitments to affiliates.

Great to hear that the player repayments aren't far away though

Do you know if there was any consideration for people that were both players and affiliates?

I wouldn't get your hopes up....

BUT...it will depend what went in and out of your account after your last withdrawal etc.

You'll need to get the transaction history and then prove to them what was your money and what was affiliate money.

For example
If your last affiliate payment was in March for Feb (2011) and you withdrew it all. But you has some money in there previously or deposited subsequently (or got a transfer form a third party) then you might have a case.

Basically you will need to be able to demonstrate what was what etc! And even then they could (and probably will) still say no.

Sorry to sound so negative.

Best wishes

What makes you an affiliate? If someone was getting RB from RakeTheRake and received some extra % for referring other players to RTR, are they an affiliate?

How is this defiined?

Hey A

Nope that wouldn't make you an affiliate.
You would just be a referrer of players once removed from FT
That would not be a problem

Best wishes
