These are all classes of claims (afaict) that have yet to be paid:
- Undisputed claims whose banking info is still not working.
- Undisputed claims who had a duplicate claim submitted or bad info in their submitted claim (banking or otherwise), noticed by GCG before first wave was submitted to DOJ for remissions approval.
- Undisputed claims who had bad data entries due to GCG systems error.
- Disputed claims whose dispute is fully accepted.
- Tagged as an affiliate, whose claim amount is fully accepted.
- Tagged as an affiliate originally, but later untagged.
- Disputed claims whose disputed amount is partially or fully denied.
- Tagged as an affiliate, whose disputed amount is partially or fully denied.
- Late filers with undisputed claim.
- Late filers with disputed claim.
Although I don't have any inside info other than the little bit that is gleaned from hints from conversations with GCG posted in NVG and here, I'm pretty much expecting payments to go out in the order listed above. Here is my speculation:
1. Checks were sent out first week of April.
2. & 3. Wave 2 around mid-May.
4. & 5. Wave 3 around mid-June.
6. Hard to say - could even be included in Wave 2 or 3, or be queued up after them (for a Wave 3.5) if the claim is undisputed. Disputed claims for this class would be lumped in with the other disputed claims.
7. & 8. Could be lumped together. Wave 4 would be for those who accept the partial or full denial (to be paid the accepted or original claim amount). Wave 5 would be for those who dispute the denied amount or are asked to provide more info for their dispute. If 7. & 8. aren't lumped together, then 8. would get a Wave 6 (accept partial or full denial) and Wave 7 (dispute denial or need to provide more info).
9. & 10. I'm pretty sure these two classes have to wait for all the above to be fully resolved before they are considered, per regulations. They would technically be paid only if funds for remission remain after all the other classes are fully resolved. We know that there is plenty of money to cover them all in full regardless, but procedures still have to be followed.
Each successive Wave might take another month or so, although this could be shortened as there are fewer claims in each class to process.
Red Pros, if determined to be eligible for remission, would be a class of their own.
