Yes.

Use all the letters you normally use in your signature (like "Drew T. Phish" if you usually use a middle initial in your signature).

For your FTP point balance, open the cashier in the client. While our cash balances are not there, our point balances are.

^ Do they compensate you for FTP points?

I didn't get an email so I'm filing by new petition. Do I need to be exact with the account balance I provide? If the amount is $2507.65 and I put $2500 will that pretty much be okay or will it create problems? I don't have a way to access my account history so I'm just going by approximation.

try calling them and asking for control&petition numbers before you submit a petition without any supporting proof

Any updates on treatment of "affiliates" since the news that affiliates will receive separate emails?

My situation:
1. Didn't receive control # by email (email address had changed so I hoped that was the reason)
2. Submitted claim anyway showing my balance info including a screenshot I had kept of my balance.
3. Reached out to them and they said I was an affiliate so I'm out of luck.
4. Found out they are changing their policy re: affiliates so sent them another email and called them.
5. Have not resubmitted more details to them about anything.
6. Have not received response. Waiting for the "affiliate" email.

Am I ok?

Did you get an email confirming that your first petition had been received?

If so, you are OK, because your claim is recorded in the system.

Did you get an email sent DIRECTLY TO YOU saying that you would be given instructions as to how to file as an affiliate?

If so, then you should be OK because, again, your claim is recorded in the system.

If you have neither of those things and care about your FTP money you should file a "new"* petition before the end of tomorrow.

* - see the remissions sticky to understand why "new" is in parentheses and for help as to how to complete a "new" petition.

It's in God's hands now right?

GCG page updated tonight.

".....We are in the process of reviewing Petitions filed by Petitioners who confirmed their balances online and who have not disputed their FTP Account Balance or submitted multiple Petitions. We expect payments to be made with respect to such Petitions with confirmed balances by March 31, 2014."

Almost there.

only God could expect the unforeseen circumstances that will delay the lengthy and unnecessarily thorough review process. but hey, that's why gcg didn't give us a firm timeframe.

GCG updated their website. PX posted a nice update in the sticky, but just in case you didn't see this:

Quote:
IMPORTANT REMINDER OF FILING DEADLINE AND
NOTICE TO FULL TILT AFFILIATES AND PROS

The deadline to submit Petitions for Remission is Saturday, November 16, 2013.

There will be a limited extension to the November 16, 2013 filing deadline for players who are Affiliates and for certain players identified as Pros in the data supplied by Full Tilt Poker (“FTP”). For players identified as Affiliates, please see the Notice below. For players identified as Pros, it has been determined that the only Pros who will be deemed ineligible to participate in this remission process are Team Full Tilt players and other players who were playing with funds from FTP or who were compensated by FTP to play on the FTP site. GCG is working with the Government to review the status of players who have been designated as ineligible Pros. Once this review is completed, for any such players who are deemed to be eligible to participate, GCG will email the players to provide instructions regarding the Petition process. Such players will have 30 days from notification to submit a Petition. Please continue to check this website for updated information.

We are in the process of reviewing Petitions filed by Petitioners who confirmed their balances online and who have not disputed their FTP Account Balance or submitted multiple Petitions. We expect payments to be made with respect to such Petitions with confirmed balances by March 31, 2014.

"By March 31." Those mutherf'ers! Two weeks shy of 3 years since the shutdown. Glad to get the money, but come on. This is absolutely absurd, and I'm still pissed at the overall situation.

Zero chance I am going to thank the DOJ/GCG for my money back. I'm sending them a nastygram for being a bunch of a-holes.

Can't wait for your next post saying--Hey, they lost my claim--Now what???
11-19-2013 , 09:43 AM
Not saying anything bad to them directly until the money is in hand

I'm definitely a bit paranoid about that.
11-19-2013 , 11:40 AM
So I called this morning in regards to my dispute (Panic withdrew on the afternoon of April 15, balance provided by GCG does not include these withdrawals that I never received). I asked why the March 31, 2014 did not apply to those who disputed their balances. They replied that every dispute has to be looked at by GCG and then sent to court(?) to be approved. The representative couldn't comment on whether or not the dispute would even be reviewed by March 31, 2014.

This seems like another lengthy (probably months long) process that I would like to avoid. Do we have any more information? I wanted to be like, 'Hey just send me the balance you provided for me on time, and then make me whole once my dispute is completed [in some unknown time period]." Is this an option? I feel like I receive no help when talking to customer support because they really aren't in charge of anything, and can only provide information to standard questions.

That's a good idea...throw a temper tantrum. You can complain all you want, but the DOJ is the reason we're getting any money returned in the first place. I think it is funny that people complain about the DOJ on here. The real criminals were those that worked for Full Tilt. If they kept funds separated like they were supposed to (i.e., Pokerstars), then we wouldn't have had this issue in the first place.

The problem with ignorant posts like this is you have no idea about the complexities of this case. Like it or not, the DOJ has to do their due diligence to prevent fraud. Looking back at other class action cases, this actually resolved fairly quickly.
11-21-2013 , 12:45 PM
I am fully aware of the complexities of this case, and do understand that it's a reasonable timeline for distribution. It was mostly just an emotional cry-baby post.

I'm mostly pissed about the entire state of online poker in the US since basically 2006, and that it has just continually regressed to the point we are at today. It is nice to see it slowly coming back, state-by-state, at least.
11-23-2013 , 12:08 AM
So uh, looks like I missed the deadline to file my ****. Anyone else in a similar boat? Has there been an extension to file?
11-23-2013 , 12:46 AM
They updated their FAQ a couple of days ago:
Quote:
The deadline to submit a Petition for Remission was Saturday, November 16, 2013. If you have not yet submitted your Petition, you may still do so. However, please be advised that there is no guarantee that late-filed Petitions will be accepted.

Any word on the percentage of eligible people that actually filed? A few weeks into the process it seemed like hardly anyone had filed.
