We need to make sure when the Barton Bill is introduced to continue to flood Michele Bachmann's FB. She is already against us. We need to make sure she doesn't even attempt to turn into a Kyl/Bachus for political gain in 2012, not to mention quite a few people visit her page, and most are probably against us. It's a perfect spot to protest.

Thank you Mason. I appreciate the kind words and support. I also appreciate the endorsement of the action plan.

Everyone:

Mason is absolutely correct. The more of us who participate, the more effective this will be. Let's all jump on this and ensure we are all heard on Capitol Hill!

I'm not sure if this is true for all politicians, but I know that some have made the rule of 'no voting related comments' on their facebook pages (Ron Paul comes to mind), and that if anyone mentions voting on their wall, that comment will be removed.

Can someone more politically in the know comment on this? Should we try to avoid mentioning voting in our FB comments?

Hit both senator and 'against us' lists, the committee pages, the DOJ page, and liked all comments along the way. I'll hit up those news websites after lunch.

Just express your support for online poker and let them infer what they need to about votes.

To keep from getting a warning from Facebook, don't barrel through Facebook pages. Rather, take a little time to like all the other poker comments on each page. I found that doing this kept my posting time just right and I had no trouble at all.

Many thanks to TE for marshaling the troops and giving us direction. I am amazed at how we are owning all of this FB real estate. WP, sir ... wp indeed!

Random thought: I wonder if Joe the Plumber plays poker?

My name isn't Ted, but my name is in the body of the original email. State level, meh, but at least 2 people from Missouri have emailed, me and Ted!

Dear Ted,

Thank you for taking the time to share your concerns on protecting a citizen's right to online gaming. I support online gaming and I would like to find a way to participate and yet keep much needed revenue here in our state.

Please keep me informed if legislation is filed at the state level.

Sincerely,

Rep. Mike Colona
Minority Whip

My post, at www.facebook.com/JohnBoozman/posts/10150195696035736:

Dear Sen. Boozman,

I am disappointed and saddened to see that posts on online poker legislation have been deleted. This is an important issue to many Americans and it is one currently being debated on the Hill. I respectfully ask that reconsider your decision regarding the free speech rights of online poker enthusiasts.

Thank you for your consideration.

Question: should we be asking senators to support HRxxxx bill? I mean can they really support bills that are in the house?

I just added my comments to Boozman's page. Lets all be respectful guys/gals. Please "like" it here:

http://www.facebook.com/JohnBoozman?sk=wall

"Senator Boozman, I respect your viewpoint regarding online poker, though I disagree with it. Several of your colleagues have shifted their viewpoint on this issue because they have come to understand the facts about it: it is a beloved game played by millions of Americans, it was invented in America, it is a game of mathematics, psychology and skill, and, not unlike many of our other pasttimes such as baseball and football, online poker has created an entertainment industry on its own, creating thousands and thousands of jobs in the process. The legislation that is currently being introduced will put forth a framework for reasonable regulation and taxation and allow American institutions to participate in this globally growing and exciting game of skill."
