You guys should really get a free program to track your usernames/passwords. I wouldn't be able to function on the intertubes without one.

In short, a large number of American players were freerolling FTP.

In essence, there were players at the same table playing with real money and players playing with play money. Obviously, the players playing with play money shouldn't be able to win real money.

This is the crux of the net deposits vs. balances issue. Since the money on the table was tainted, how can you legitimize the games?
Player A still owes the money. He was never playing with play money. Hopefully, they after after these players but I would be surprised

My point is simply that it isn't so simple to figure out what is due to the players.

If the DoJ was willing to let FTP collect these debts immediately following BF the situation could be totally different today. Who know? Maybe FTP might have been able to solve their insolvency problem. But that was never what the DoJ had in mind. Those debts are never going to be collected.

There were players whose money left their bank accounts but was seized in payment processor seizures. Can the claims administrator distinguish this situation from the one where the money never left the bank account?

Also, leading up to BF, it was becoming increasingly known that FTP was not able to pull money from American bank accounts and players could take advantage of this; is the claims administrator able to detect the chip-dumping that undoubtedly took place during this period? Not all of the fraud was on the FTP side.

Just stop deluding yourself into thinking this is simple!

I'd say the chances of us getting anything for FTPs are very low, but they get a little better for every person who calls and asks about them.

Really hoping we hear something soon..the most recent update on the claims website made it seem pretty imminent..would be ironic if everything was set by April 15th

the weird thing about about this is since black friday i have moved up stakes and improved dramtically so my account while seeming to be alot back then is only a few buy ins for the stakes I currently play.

Lucky for you haha..my entire roll is on FTP. It's 5 figures and took me a while to build. This wait is excruciating. And since I only made one small deposit and built it up I can't just deposit 5 figs and jump into midstakes on a new site

I don t think the claims administrator will deal in limbo funds. they are only paying back what was on deposit at FTP.
