This question may be obvious, but does anyone have insight into how the DoJ is paying the Garden City Group? Do we expect it to be from the $500 mil forfeited to the DoJ, as in the money potentially owed to US players?

Can't wait until they put up an example timeline, & a picture of what a remission check may look like.

the original deal said they were going to pay back players 'minus the cost of the reimbursement process'...so i'm going to guess that means the GCG is getting paid out of US players' pockets

This has probably been asked before but, does the DOJ/GCG know the individaul players balances? I don't remember what my balance was to the dollar and after emailing FTP i got the following response.

I spoke to Rayann, who had about zero information and pretty much just apologized a lot. She suggested that I sign up for the email notification, which I informed her was not working, after which she checked and said it should work within the next week.

I was mostly trying to get a sense of a timeline. She said that she did not have that information, and that they were relying on the DOJ to give them more info on the steps of the process (Uhg!!). I informed her that US players were already very upset with this whole process, but thanked her for her time.

That's about it for now. Will be interested to hear about others' calls/questions.

I too called the hotline today.

Guy just took down all my info....Name...Address...that sort of stuff and said soon to all my questions. He told me i had some great questions but didn't have answers to any of them. Hotline was no help at all seemed like they knew just as much as we do.....Nada!

My address is different now, versus when I had my funds frozen over two years ago. Should I use my current address or the one that was listed in my FTP account? Any have any ideas?

Why does it matter? You aren't registering to get your money. You are registering to receive email alerts......Am I missing something?

No one knows really right now how things are going to work. It probably doesn't matter which address you enter on the e-mail registration form, but then again it's govt-related bureaucracy.

I used my current address in case they're using it to send out information. I'm guessing actually filing for our refunds will require more paperwork in the future where you can change it if need be.

It won't matter what email address you use on the sign up page. That will be used solely for letting folks know when things are happening.

The claims process will not in any way be based on who signs up for email updates.
