Re: The Well: Kingsofcards

Do you use a HUD? If so, do you use AF, Agg%, or both?

When you review past hands, how do you do this? (E.g. do you just filter big hands from the last session and look at them briefly? Do you focus on a particular player? Do you make notes? Etc.)

Do you study specific opponents out of game? What major things do you look for about them (in or out of game)?

Also: A big, big thank you for doing this.

I'll play pretty much everyone when starting games but at hu and higher stakes i'll likely stay out of super high variance spots

What do I need to do to start crushing mid-stakes and up?
Be honest with yourself about what you do well and what you need to improve upon. Stay positive and just put in the time.

made the same name so only better players give me action. Not much 6 max tends to run. Would like to expand more to PP, ipoker and betfair the next month or 2.

Up 670k with KK, seems i'm down the most with K7s which im down ~55k or so with. small sample at nosebleeds probably greatly affects that.

I use an extremely basic hud that just includes VPIP/PFR/ 3bet % / fold to cbet/ attempt to steal. Out of game I will generally take a look at positional stats to see what type of ranges people are opening from EP and SB v BB. I generally just use a hud to reassure a read. For example if I feel like someone is 3betting me a ton i'll generally take a look at their stats to see whether its them running hot or if they have wide ranges in spots. I think the AF stats are pretty outdated these days at least for NLHE.

I like to go through and look at any big pots my more regular opponents have played during a session. Even players at 25/50 tend to have tendencies and sizing tells. Don't really take notes I think i'm naturally good at connecting a hand i'm currently involved in with a similar hand I played vs that opponent in the past when i'm in the moment .

I guess i'm just looking for areas where people play pretty far from the norm. Whether it be they 3b to much in spots or open to wide UTG just trying to find areas of their game where I think I can exploit them.

Also: A big, big thank you for doing this.

soulmate

A minimal one at 100 a pt but a nonexistant one at 300 pt due to you beign scared money.

Molswi or adz. Although we're friends and I think both are very good players I feel that my style does well vs theirs hu and i've had good results vs both in the psat.

Re: The Well: Kingsofcards

How much exactly was learning HU play essential for your growth and how much of your winnings come from HU play? Would you have reached this level without playing and learning HU?

What is your six max style as I am not familiar with your game/have not datamined FTP or PS? VPIP/PFR/AF/ 3bet WWSF and Won at showdown some rough numbers if you are ok with disussing them of course?

Re: The Well: Kingsofcards

How much time would you say you spend reviewing hands or otherwise studying the game via your tracker?

Do you look for tendencies and sizing tells offline in your own game as well?

How do you know what the norm is from which players deviate? Reading forums? Playing a lot? Is it (somewhat/very?) subconscious, or (somewhat/very?) conscious?

Thanks again.

How likely are you to attempt to move completely to nosebleeds in the future?

When are you moving to Canada ?

A lot of the best regs on stars it seems (5knl +) have had pretty short tenures at the top... why is that, and do you think those same things will happen to you?

fav song/band?

music while you grind?

good luck in everything man your a sick player and a better person
