Cash 5-5.

You are 100BBs effective (CO). Villain (BB).

First hand; no reads.

1 limper, you are in the CO with 9 9. You raise to 4BBs, and BB raises to 12BBs. Limper folds. 1) Your action pre?

2) Assuming you call, the pot is 25.5BBs, what is your action on a J 2 3 board facing a 2/3 pot bet. Action?

Very much appreciate any help with this spot, as it's something I'll otherwise lose a lot of dosh long term in.

Action pre seems like it's usually a call. Not to say you couldn't ever 4bet. Depends on villain's image and what range you think he 3 bets (including in the BB). On the board you're talking about I'd probably call and see a turn hoping for an undercard. I don't think too many average regs are capable of bluffing two streets oop. If I knew the player was really tight I'd prefer folding if he/she leads two streets. Generally speaking I like calling flop because I think many people shut down and check the turn if they have air.

Readless id call vs bb 3b pre.
Float flop if cbet into. There isnt really many J in bbs 3bet range.
If he slows down you can bet turns to protect and fold out worse or you can x back/fold if high cards come out.
