These are the dates when their PTR graphs start. I heard in another thread that PTR started tracking iPoker somewhere in '09 probably since apr 1 '09 (can anybody confirm?).

Now for the troubling part: Out of the 55 players 21 of them have their PTR graphs starting from 22/23 juli '09.

This however could be partly explained if there was a PTR server update or something between 17 june- 22 juli and they signed up in this period. It would be nice if somebody knows if this has ever been the case on PTR?

Probably caused by PTR tracking. I think I "appeared" around that time too even though I had been playing on iPoker for almost a year then.

PTR occasionally tracked before a certain date and tracked almost everything after a certain date. 17-22 June could easily have been one of those occasional tracking periods.

Re: Possible collusion/softplaying/botting on 1knl on iPoker.

couple of points

these players have been around for years on ipoker, and not only 5/10, alot of 3/6 and 10/20 also. way before ptr started tracking

am0teen
bizzGojin
Dongler
dr95Wst
JLock
KwldJJk
lucertola2
Nikojin11
PreeJMem
R00ze
SmartRookie
spaetzli83
tuzpick
yozilcree

i seem to remember talking to at least 1 of them before also, nikojin iirc

the fact they don't play on stars yet play the 'italian style' is easily explained by italians not being able to play on pokerstars

the chat thing, italians speak pretty bad english compared to most countries, although it is pretty weird that none of them have spoken. btw my 'chat' with nikojin was a long long long time ago

one interesting thing about their style is that they 3b a very unpolarised range.

so they will 3b an UTG raiser with AJs, or 3b a btn opener KTs etc. as if they just plug in x% of hands into pokerstove

Very true, good point.

Some of them changed a little their style over the years (lucertola, dr95Wst as best examples)...at least vs me they addapted a little.

They don't seem bots to me...(ihami btw)

Yepp, even with stuff like kjo bb to an utg open 8handed..

Though I think alot of them is just an example of balance strategy going semi-wrong...I think a lot of their thoughts makes sense, and all it need is 1 very sucessful grinder and some "students" to come along after him...just that they other adapt pretty poorly.. dont vb light enough, barrel wrong spots...

except for the chat I havent got the botty feeling neither

Re: Possible collusion/softplaying/botting on 1knl on iPoker.

I mean if they really are bots which seems unlikely there is an easy way to find out. Just exploit the hell out of them minraise every c-bet, 3 bet their cutoff opens a ton, use highly exploitative betsizing, like bet multible times pot with good hands or try to minbet, mindonk and see what they do. Seriously should be free money there if they are bots.
I agree in principle that bots shouldnt be ignored just because you personally might profit off them but imo it seems better to make them go away by exploiting the **** out of them, then to try to convince the sites... I image if lots of regulars started to exploit them they would disappear rather quickly.

Are players from Australia/NZ banned from Stars too? Most of these 'bots' come from these 2 countries, more than Italia. Has there been ONE player reported playing this 'style' at 5/10 on Stars? Not to my knowledge. Just doesn't make sense, something fishy is going on.

Re: Possible collusion/softplaying/botting on 1knl on iPoker.

no rakeback at stars...and they only 3 table so they aren't gunna reach supernova or whatever that is.

something does seem v v fishy tho...a lot of the diff sn's on diff sites can also be the same guys playing on multiple sites. I know a lot of party regs that also play on FT and likely on cake as well (i don't play there so i'm not sure)

Re: Possible collusion/softplaying/botting on 1knl on iPoker.

I'm starting to have my doubts that all of the australian/new zealand players on Party playing this style and NEVER chatting are actually from those countries.

Eg. today Party Australian "i_not_chat" (australian english? hmm) was sitting with me at a table with russian "machina999". Both play extremely similar styles and never chat and both were playing 2 tables only. I might be off on this, but its very odd that there are a ton of australian/nz regs who never say hi back and play a very similar style to the Russians on Party who also never chat.

People were talking about the ones on FTP/Party/Everest/etc as being from Australia/New Zealand.
The ones on iPoker don't have that as location from what I have seen.
