Re: other options on river other than c/f?

what's exactly wrong with river x/c if you suspect villain to bluff some %?

Re: other options on river other than c/f?

i think a river x/r has a way higher EV than a x/c, because I expect villain to chk back some Ax hands (and KQ) on the turn and fold quite often vs a river x/r.

i think its either a x/r or a bet.

if we check, we lose vs alot of Kx combos, and some better Tx.
if we bet, we get called by probably any Ax and better. but i assume he folds every Kx.

what do you passive defend in the SB vs a BTN open? look in your DB and tell me the % (call openraise in SB) ...

you just CANT play a wide SB passive defending range +EV vs a "very rood reg"
I can tell you that my call open raise from SB % is pretty much non-existent. I only have a flatting range there under special circumstances.

I guess this is why there is such a mixed bag of responses in this thread. How you split your range up really depends on what hands you actually end up with here in the first place.

Re: other options on river other than c/f?

if hero was in BB we would have a way wider range. still not THAT wide cause villain opens 3bb (wich is uncommen). the bigger he opens the less you have to defend obv
but if we wouldŽve called in the BB i think checking here is the best option. we just have too much "airŽish" hands to turn JT into a bluff here

@ nuggetz:
JTs is the lowest SC im calling here vs BTN oop. hands like 98s are way better to 3bet (and its even more +EV).
furthermore i would take out A7s,T9s,J9 and disscount Q9s

fwiw: Look at your database, filter only SB and coldcalled openraise true. u may want it HU Flop as well. and then look at the range your defending and if u loose money (or if you loose more/less money than just folding the SB)

again: beeing 3 handed doesnt change ranges !!!
