Re: Organized Party Poker sitout, in protest of sitout scum.
I see a lot of games running with with 1-2 30bb stacks leeching off the 100bb+ stacks. I've been trying to convince people to just sit out whenever these guys join the table. It might not be a feasible solution if there's a giant monkey fish - but most of the time you should be able to explain the spot why we don't want to play with these guys (the 30bb's).
If people just keep doing this (sitting out) - eventually one of three things will happen.
1. The 30bb's will get 0 volume and might stop doing it.
2. The games will never run.
3. If 2 -> party will have to fix it.
So if you truly want to get rid of these guys - this is the solution.

Open offer to anyone on stars/party! I will play 1-3 and possibly even 4 tables HU short stack at 5/10 or lower for 1500 hands minimum (if you take the offer you choose the number of tables and are not allowed to quit until 1500 hands are up). If effective stacks are above 75bb (i/or you) reserve the right to stop play at that particular table and start a new table. Come crush the short stacked egomaniac and put him in his place.... Somehow i doubt i'm going to get any action as I already know basically no1 will play me short stacked. If someone is good enough to beat me at 5/10 short stacked I'm guessing they really don't care to play as low as 5/10 but i could be wrong maybe numbr1mom wants to slum it at 5/10 or coronis/googly wants to come out of retirement and slum at 5/10 as well...

This isn't skill, its just like a push or fold strategy with a certain number of blinds like a tournament. Congrats idiot

Re: Organized Party Poker sitout, in protest of sitout scum.
For those that may have missed it, PaperEmpire challenged another 2+2'er in another thread to a HU game, where the debate was about deep-ish stacked play. They ended up playing and he was buying in for 40bb, lol.
I mean, he was apparently OK even when it got deeper and his record is 1pt/100 or something over loads of hands. Not sure where he gets the idea he's something special from but he's kinda amusing.

Re: Organized Party Poker sitout, in protest of sitout scum.
This thread was originally intended to protest against sit-outter bumhunters. And it got the attention of Party_rep. Then this thread was derailed and Party Poker is happy for that.
I would humbly suggest you to start a new anti-shortstackers thread or else you 'll eventually get no result at all.
One thread, one topic. Imho.

If you think this is the case I will pay you 1ptbb to play me 4 - 5/10 tables short stacked HU. This will basically be a freeroll for you if you follow optimal push/fold strategy (how can you lose money with optimal push fold strategy?????). You go crunch some push fold numbers and figure out your optimal strategy and get back to me.
I'm sorry for derailing this thread. I won't post in this thread again.

Re: Organized Party Poker sitout, in protest of sitout scum.
PaperEmpire, I did not say you derailed this thread.
I was meaning a bumhunter would be happy to change the topic of this thread.
I'm not accusing anyone, I don't know anyone of you.
My previous post was meant to be just a suggestion.

Re: Organized Party Poker sitout, in protest of sitout scum.
fwiw I would probably pay someone like paperempire to divulge their strategies to me, because shortstackers continually own me. As someone said, in a FR game with like 1-2 short stackers, it's kind of just a necessary evil, but, even HU, I'm kinda terrified of competent shorties.

Re: Organized Party Poker sitout, in protest of sitout scum.
There was a long post ages ago where someone posted a strategy for playing against different types of short-stacks. It was probably 20bb short stacks but did help people at the time.

All, we are still on schedule for the end of May as per the original post. In addition to the technical solution we have put in place a process where we will warn offenders and take disciplinary action if necessary (remove VIP status, ban players for a period of time etc) in order to alleviate the issue.
Thank you all for your patience.

Re: Organized Party Poker sitout, in protest of sitout scum.
Today was the first time I have logged onto party in awhile and from what I see no update has been done. What's going on here partyRep? Your planning sounds good and it is good to hear, and I understand that you weren't able to give updates with the forum down but what are the reasons that it has not been updated yet, and when should one be expected?

Re: Organized Party Poker sitout, in protest of sitout scum.
Party_rep, I just re-read your post and it says end of may now so I guess you did notify us it was taking a bit longer. Thanks for the changes and I look forward to playing a bit more on party once they happen.
