Please explain mathmatically how it doesn't work, or even better update the wiki because you are obviously on to something:

assuming infinite bankroll, the system indeed works.Your class was quite correctly laughing at you, as am I !
did you actually read that article? The reason it won't work is because your risk of ruin very quickly becomes ridiculously high.

Meh I'm pretty sure you could find enough action in vegas that table limits wouldn't be an issue

Re: Official IPoker Thread

I thought the whole flaw in the martingale system was that you eventually run into the house limit, so that you can't keep winning it all back by increasing your bets. With infinite bankroll and no maximum bet the class is right isn't it?

Do you think HU helps your 6max game cos you're put in so many more marginal spots that your hand reading improves faster? I don't play HU but you guys are making me think more about getting into it.

Yes. However were I in possession of an infinite amount of money, grinding out even more money (if "more than infinite" is even a coherent concept) by sitting and playing roulette would probably come in pretty low on my list of things to do. "You can make a living playing roulette but only if you already have an infinite amount of money" is probably not what the class had in mind.

Re: Official IPoker Thread

roullete is easy, if it comes like 5 blacks in a row, its more likely to be red next, so just wait for a load of blacks in a row

note, if its 5 reds in a row, its still the same chance of red or black next

thanks me for this later chaps

More football betting talk needed, muggy little pricks!

I stuck $15k on Spain winning their group at 1/3. I like my side.

Re: Official IPoker Thread

wow sick

what is it chile honduras and switzerland

yeah no reason why they shouldnt win that group at all, it would be a shock if they didnt, even 1/4 seems fair, they should win this at least 80% of the time

Re: Official IPoker Thread

Yep, I thought 1/4, or 1/5 seemed about right for the bookies to be placing their line at.

France are also 1/3 to QUALIFY from their group, which I think is pretty damn good. The only problem I guess is that hosts notoriously do pretty well, while Mexico and Uruguay are no mugs.
