Is this not exactly what society programs you to think? Obviously it is bc biologically we are programmed to want to spread our seed to as many women as possible. Its stupid to say you are wrong or whatever, but just realize this is what 99% of people seem to think in the western world and the results are far from good.

How do you know that this perfect girl you marry will be the same person 10+ years in the future? "oh but she is different, we are in love" is a typical response, the same thing 99% of divorced men said whey decided to get married. Fact is women are immensely rewarded for divorce at your expense especially if kids are involved (no wonder ~80% of divorces are initiated by women) and you are putting your a massive amount of your financial and sexual freedom in the hands of a single women.

I'll just say that I am not against marriage by any means. Even I am hoping to find some girl to spend the rest of my life with, but it will be non mono and with a big ole prenup. Worst case scenario I dont find that person and live happily ever after

There is nothing more annoying then listening to someone argue against something he has never experienced ( no personal attack just something I see a lot these day). You need to appreciate that you can not truly understand the things that you never have experienced. Sure you can try to understand but really, you are just assuming and guessing.

Well we're close to 2 years in, barely argue ever, are on a par mentally and have the same exact personality, we have also experienced some extremely ****ed situations in our short relationship, we met shortly before BF and I got stuck in a 12 month very expensive lease in the USA....I could go into detail on all the thing's that occured during this period but I've said enough.

I'm not saying it's for everyone, many people are too emotionally stunted for it to occur and finding the right person is extremely unlikely, there is so much variance in not just finding said person, but the outside factors that occur consistently through time in a relationship. Stability in all forms of both your lives is key to keeping a relationship strong, be it financial, social etc.

I'm no fool and admittedly my comment was very vague and stereotypical, likely which led to your response, but you should keep an open mind instead of being so aggressively allied to one side or another.

i just kind of got into a relationship (started dating her in february), and even though i've always thought it was great to chat up girls in clubs/bars/whatever and have small flings with lots of girls, i got semi-bored of it and i'm enjoying being in a relationship alot right now. 98% of girls i could never handle being in a relationship with though, so i never looked for a girlfriend since after a while they all kinda got on my nerves.

alex' story about his girlfriend is kinda funny. we went to thailand together in january last year, young and free and all, then he goes to the states to visit some 2p2ers and go for that cabin trip and have fun, and first thing i know he's in a relationship with this girl. got insta-tied down like a true noob.

but now i am too so i shouldn't make fun
