had trouble logging into party today.

i clicked 'sign in' multiple times and nothing happened, then after restarting the client a couple of times i managed to get in, but after playing for a about an hour i got an error message 'you have just logged in from another computer' and the client restarted.

i'm now having the same problem of not being able to log in.

is this something i should worry about, or is it just the ****ty software acting up?

anyone had similar problems?

i mean.... if you're stupid enough to do it once you're stupid enough to do it again and again imo.

same thing happened to me today. Wasn't able to login and afterwards had this "logged in from another computer" error as well. Twice this session. Cost me some $ and tilted me like hell.

searched and couldnt find an answer - they stop letting you change ur sn sometime recently?
02-17-2014 , 04:38 PM
I haven't been able to change my screenname since the relaunch. I think some others have been able to though.
02-17-2014 , 04:57 PM
Try changing your sn by going to "partyaccount.com", should work.
02-17-2014 , 05:10 PM
Yeah that works, thanks. I thought I'd already tried there and failed, but I guess not.

Frankly, I've given every post a reasonable response so far but this one is just pure nonsense/lacks any substance.
02-17-2014 , 08:35 PM
It's not about being stupid. It's about the lack of ethics you need to do this. That's what is worrying to me. Unfortunately many poker players seem to use any possible chance to win more so not surprising
02-17-2014 , 09:01 PM
SMB i genuinely believe you're not doing anything untoward with madmanco, but you do realise you are breaking partypoker's T+C by using a seating script?

http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/sh...3&postcount=33
02-17-2014 , 09:32 PM
thanks.

and no, i did not know that. i thought seating scripts were allowed on all sites. would be good for some clarity on this from party as there are a million players that have been using them for months.
02-17-2014 , 09:38 PM
of course they are not allowed, party just doesn't seem to be able to actively do anything about them. The clarity is specifically stated in the link ITSOVER9000 posted. And also in many previous posts...

seems stupid to me to risk 80k to do some soft playing but maybe thats just me.
02-18-2014 , 07:24 AM
I've checked my DB and it seems they are not softplaying in party. I really appreciate smb's politeness in this matter.
02-18-2014 , 12:01 PM
thank you very much! and you're welcome.

Just let Party investigate and decide...

Was pretty disappointed to know about m&m and d&d. Always respected them as good players. Honestly now i can't imagine them being so dumb to repeat that stuff, esp. when they seem to be one of the best regs, and def. there is no need for them to softplay to be winners in games. but now i won't feel that much ok when playing with both of them at the same table. The only thing we can hope that there won't be any evidence of them doing that again.
02-18-2014 , 08:58 PM
Guys and also can you explain me with those graphs of yours of 2013 results, why on earth would you risk your stars BR + reputation + possibility of playing on other sites ( easy to imagine getting in blacklist after stars scandal ) softplaying ??
(not sure but i'd suppose it is less than +1 bb ) ...
oh BTW guys what EV would you assess for softplaying ?
02-18-2014 , 09:16 PM
simple truth is that it is/was not worth softplaying. we decided to do it because it would ease the stress of taking thousands of dollars from a good friend on a regular basis and because we didn't fully appreciate the affect it would have on other players. tbh i imagine it goes on a lot more frequently than people realise/would care to admit. but it was a clear mistake and we regret our decisions.

as for our reputations, they've actually remained pretty good in the poker community. i think this is testament to the fact that we're not actually arseholes and, hopefully, you guys will come to learn that we're not trying to screw you over!

Why should people move on? It is up to the poker site to protect the players, especially the ones trying to do good. So if you really are starting tables and getting grimmed then going against efforts to lobby for correction is not very smart.

I think every1 is missing the entire point in online poker...Its our choice to play 1 hand or many hands vs any player at any given time...is it against the rules to sit play 1 hand and leave? no...is it annoying...YES lol should something that is annoying be turned into a rule? NO. DEAL with it
