So if there was a reload bonus and you had to clear vpps in sit n gos and/or multiple types of cash games, would you do it?

Variance is very high, but edges are definitely not small. Poker players still make way too much money compared to other people with same intelligence/diligence etc. and it's a disgrace that they are crying over a little bit of rake change.

The biggest reason fish don't move up through the stakes these days is imo not because of horrendous rake(yes rake is bad at lower stakes no doubt) but because 4 years ago they move up by beating up on other bad players otherwise known as 2007 regs who would not have a chance of beating today's game, while today even the medicore players at 1/2 are competent and would have crushed 5/10 back in 2007.

So what is the limit to when people are allowed to protest? And what does the amount of money people make have to do with whether they are allowed to complain or not? If Stars said they wanted to make more money and they are going to up the rake on players making over 100k a year, would you say that it's fine since the players already make so much money? Should people let Stars do anything? At least if people complain about something that might be small PS may be scared to do anything that will take money away from players in the future.

Don't be an idiot. You are in a position where you are way ahead of the curve. Dont underestimate how fast it can catch up with you, especially with rake increases.

I agree that its still very easy to make 100k/year for time invested/intelligence compared to other options, especially with SNE/shortstacking.

Re: ***The OFFICIAL 2012 Stars Regulars Thread***

What kind of promotions would best help the games? What do people want to see? Why would it work? Would it bring recreational players?

If anyone wants to discuss these topics, please do. If you want to talk to me personally, please PM me.

I want to help as much as possible, but I can't do it without input.

I like the idea if they manage to implement it correctly, will be pretty hard to do so I guess tho.

Re: ***The OFFICIAL 2012 Stars Regulars Thread***

dont worry
from what i have read the 40bbers get hit the most(up to 50% less vpps) by the change to WC so they will be all gone soon enough i imagine
