This post and the post referenced in the OP are excellent and completely true. Sometimes to obtain what you want, you have to be willing to give up things that mean a lot to you. Aaron is commenting on how poker has taken over his life, and that's what it takes to become great. You're driving down the street or reading something for school, and all you can think about is whether you played a certain hand correctly, etc. Before you know it, you've been reading a chapter and you have no idea what has happened; you become lost in thought. I understand that, and agree that poker is a mindset; It's not just a game, not just a means to an end. I'm sure all aejones can think about during any choice is whether it is +EV or not, whether it's choosing an ice cream flavor or trying to get with a girl his friend already boned.
GREAT POSTS/BLOG AEJONES
Keep it up
