i like the discussion about possible villain value hands. also agree that villain would and should bet 44/88 on the flop. How about QQ? if we think he can have AK here, can he also have QQ?

don't know how often V will try to bluff whale in this spot

Nope, didn't abandon, just haven't been checking these forums out for a while.

Not everyone disagrees fwiw, but okay I'll bite and I can see reasons for betting too, I just don't like it when someone who plays microstakes throws a snarky one-liner at me like he's boss.

Hilarious. I now officially declare snippiness with you, though do not intend to respond to further posts.

If the whale is capable of folding I would CB flop, If not I think checking is fine.

As played, I just muck I think he can have AK here pretty often

If you are villain are you ever raising KT to iso the whale? Are you raising clubs or Qx to iso the whale? In the context of the hand you are either crushed or villain has an iso range vs. the whale that you are likely ahead of, the flop check makes it harder to discern which is which. I think if you bet flop and get that turn action its a clear fold.

Q8s, 88 maybe?

I'd fold.

This is most likely the case, gotta muck it. I would say a set of fours is most likely what's happening. He's always checking behind on that flop. I would have C-bet that flop, for every time it's every other medium-low pocket pair and he misses.

C-bet against his range and fold the turn.
