NL400 SH 250BB deep with 22 on 732s73

villain is aggro, 28/24/12. i was obviously snapping on any other river besides a 7 and a 3. My range is severely under-repped since most players c/r with a set here. All draws are busted as well. He has a high raise Flop of 22% and high barreling frequencies.

However, villain betted really quickly on the Turn and River without much thought. The 7 on the Turn is an obvious card to slow down on, but he fired so quickly any way. On the river his bet took <5 sec, I'm not sure if I could discount stuff like A3 even further (if he even raises such hands on the Flop on the first place when I lead out).

Of course, hand reading tells me that he cannot really have a 7X here. There aren't any 7hXh hands he could have and I also blocked the 2h so he can only have straight flush draws type of hands, or maybe nutflush draws which are busted.

Based on all these, I was leaning towards a call, but as I thought deeper about the hand, it just felt like an insane spot to bluff especially since the pairing of the 3 prevents villain from bluffing again since he can't rep boats so well now. One could argue that he thinks I never have a 7X hand played so he would play in this way. I don't really know, I'm so confused by this spot

Hero bets $36.00, CO folds, BTN raises to $99, Hero calls $63

Turn: ($242.41) 7 (2 players)

River: ($582.41) 3 (2 players)
Hero checks, BTN bets $642.02, Hero Time Banks...

Time bank left with 3 sec, Villain says "Come on, I know you are folding"

Bluffs: 4h6h, 4h5h, 5h6h, 3 combos of AhXh (3 out of 6 combos - I'm discounting bluffs here cos of the unlikely T and R)
Value: 77, 33 (2 combos), 7d6d, 7d8d, 7d9d (5 combos) - I don't know whether this guy ever raises with 7X, it could be the case to make it easier to play since 7X is such a low card + he wants to have barreling opportunities on diamonds, I'm not sure.

I'm getting 35% pot odds on the River

Given that his range has tons of Ax + gutshot and FD's, that we can somewhat discount him raising flop w/ 7x as opposed to flatting/folding, and that besides that he reps a single combo of 33 this seems like a very easy call.

I don't think we can read too much into his timing.

easy call, problem with the hand is that your play doesnt smell to strong. Its very likely he would put you on a hand like 88, or 99 or something and decide to bluff you off. Only hand here that makes sense for him to have on the river other than bluff is A7 (or perhaps 67) and if he happens to have that you just got to pay him off.

Makes me want to fold a lot.

Edit: Also, the fact that he has such a high flop raise puts many more 7s in his range than otherwise.

How can we do anything but call? He reps 2 hands and raises 20%!! on the flop. Snappity snap snap. and lol when he flips over a busted draw. Just saw about him talking in chat though turns me off completely especially when you are about 3 seconds from timing out. That is like a desperation move when he wants you to call. I muck it.

I assume you called? Curious as to what he had lol, the newb in me wants to know. Through PM if you could.

Re: NL400 SH 250BB deep with 22 on 732s73

nope I folded cos I was a little tilted from winning a lot this session then losing it all back
he claims to have 4h5h. I guess i mind-****ed myself over his timing and chat, was almost going to call

he told me he put me on a weak mid-pair so I guess he already planned to 3barrel his whole stack in right from the beginning. It surprises me that he doesn't need to think at all. After all if he put me on a mid-pair, i could very easily have 7X myself

Or maybe he's lying and wants to tilt me. I don't really know.

I wanted to call cause it'd be weird for him to raise 7x on the flop if he was any good but the chat makes me want to fold.

Re: NL400 SH 250BB deep with 22 on 732s73

He could just have AA and be value betting. Honestly, I would expect the bulk of his range here to be air or pocket threes. Anything else would be extremely rare, but possible.

Have you and the BB been squeezing a lot? The more you guys have been squeezing, the more I like a call thinking you'll see a slow played big pair. In any case, a lot of the time when draws miss, a guy only represents quads, and my range appears to be rich in weak bluff catchers, I call. .

people still play 7x like this, it's tilting but you have to fold.

Also don't forget it's a good runout for you since he has an overset.

based on flop i think we can totally remove any kind of 3's from his range and even if they were still in his range this would be a call anyway. i snap this one off
