the true answer is probably leatherass because he takes both the significantly +ev higher stakes shots when he should, but also grinds hard at lower stakes and has a permanently monstrous hourly.

but he pisses in a bottle ffs. 500K a year and a social life, or 1M a year and piss in a bottle? how much money do you need when you've gotten to the pissing in bottles stage?

fwiw,

Makes you a focused robot-like machine.

Works differently for everyone, for me its a wonder drug.

Teeth grinding, feeling fidgety, cracked out etc.

i was having a long discussion with some pros about this the other day - basically we came to the conclusion that part of the reason why people do this is because they are genuinely scared for the future of poker.

there's only so long all of us are going to be able to make $200/hr. and it's going to suck when we're going to have to get real jobs. the consensus was that a lot of the huge grinders know what that's like and are grinding to escape the possibility of having to go back.

With all these balling, 12-tabling, 200k-hands-a-month grinders around, I'm surprised none of them has a urinal installed next to their computer.

Re: the most successful msnl player is.......

120 hours is easy

I think alot of people don't realise how lucky we are to have this oppurtonity to make 100k a month for playing a game we enjoy, and set up our future to never have to work a day in your life. Alot of people will regret not putting the hours in when poker won't be as profitable as it is today. I have a social life i got out alot but poker is my priority, If you wanna be the best at anything or make alot of money you need to work hard its simple
