Yawn another bumhunter thread:

-some people are very 'into' poker, very competitive or wanna be able to make huge $ at higher levels so they are the ones that play regs and they tend to admire reghunters
-some people are happiest playing poker on the side and putting in little effort to make a lot of money compared to anything else they'd do.
-some people don't wanna deal with the headaches and variance you get from playing good players, but again still like the $
-some people are ******s and think this makes someone a scumbag or that there's something wrong with aspiring to be like these people
-some bumhunters are still very annoying because they develop an ego and think they're actually good at poker
-basically everyone's a bumhunter to some degree

conclusion: there's nothing wrong with bumhunting

Just going off of what other people have posted. No idea how accurate the info is and ...In honesty, I don't care.

But it does want to make me create a new accounts, blow some money at NL25 or NL50 to look like some poker newb, then play nl400 / 600 and pown some "bum-hunters" as they are called. Personally I have no problem with them, it just seems like an untapped resource

it's not really hard, you just don't take any high variance spot, even though you might be +EV in a spot you might just wait for another one so you don't get hit and run

beating up on fish to the tune of missy, kaintd etc is definitely a skill. a lot of people think that once you get good at poker you can just rape fish for the maximum but thats not really true

completely disagree. there were tons of bumhunters on UB, and the best would make slightly over 10ptbb/100 (and most significantly less). clearly it is not 'not really hard'. i'd guess close to zero solid regs could make over 20ptbb/100, even bumhunting hard, over say 100k hands. 25+ is out of this world. if missy is legit, then he/she has to be incredibly good at poker (and if actually a hot chick, i would do anything to b*one her!
