Re: Mid Stakes for a Living

It's an inaccurate stat anyway as SD requires the variance/hand to have a normal distribution, while this is far from true. There are huge spikes at common potsizes, and also a huge spike for the largest possible variance, being an allin.

Re: Mid Stakes for a Living

yeah i wasn't sure about this, but i believe it says in MoP that poker should be normally distributed. i'm very far from being an authority on stats tho, so could be wrong

well look at your graph with all-in luck taken out. Its a lot flatter. Or at least mine is.

its probably because you play a lot of 200bb poker and i play more 100bb poker. I also play 50% fr 50% 6-max and you seem to play 100% 6-max. obv fr has less variance than 6-max.

Re: Mid Stakes for a Living

Re: Mid Stakes for a Living

I've actually played with the idea of training a monkey to grind NL100. Chain it to the desk, and attach a pokertracker-controlled cocaine administration device as means of positive reinforcement. That way it can grind 18 hours a day on 28 tables. Easy money, I just hope the monkey doesnt start posting on 2p2
