Playing a 5/10 loosey goosey cash game, but 3bet frequencies are close to nil. Hero wakes up in the big blind with JsJc. Button MS straddles to 25. We are 2.2k effective and 9-handed.

SB folds, hero raises to $75, MP calls, folds to BTN who calls.

Pot = $230
Flop comes 7c9cTs. Hero bets $125. MP folds, BTN raises to $300. Hero 3bets to $800. BTN calls.

Pot = $1830
Turn comes 6s. Hero is all in. BTN calls.

Pot = $4475
River is the Kd.

My thought is with 2 jack blockers he rarely has a made hand here and is usually on a combo draw (straight draw being no good or a chop), and when he does have a set I have outs to the straight and higher set. I think JJ is a great overpair to 3bet bluff this flop because of removal effects and to balance out TT, 99, and occasionally 77. My QQ-AA range probably has some combinations of call and fold. I'd rather 3bet bluff JJ than high Ax of clubs because removal effects of those hands are awful.

Any thoughts?

So... were you bluffing with JJ? Or value betting? Lil confused.. Just don't think there's any way to get a better hand to fold unless he somehow flats with QQ-AA pre and even then idk if those hands would fold due to the "loosey-goosey" type of table you are talking about..

I can't see more than the beginning of your reply but the hands currently beating you are 86xx and J8xx and some combo draws will include the J of clubs so idk if turning this hand into a bluff is the right way to think here

Thanks a ton for the reply.

I still think my intuition was correct that this flop is a 3bet but I think I failed to justify it properly. A bluff probably isn't the right word for it. My point is that since I block so many combos of the nut straight, his range is way more weighted towards flush draws and pair + flush draws. So, my 3bet makes these hands either fold their equity or pot commit with the worst of it.

Putting this through poker stove and assuming he has some two pairs, sets, combo draws, and pair + flush draws, I have something like 47% equity vs his range.

Yeah, I definitely think your 3b! on this flop and your reasoning are definitely correct. Just don't think you should classify it as a bluff!

Villain turned over Kc6c. We had 70% equity on the turn but obviously he went bink city on the river.
