Don't remember the exact stats but villian had reggish stats

Hand is played on Bovada so can't get a lot of reads.

Does anyone bet turn? My plan was to bet lots of turns if he checks but given I made a pair, I didn't feel a need to bet.

People rarely bet / check / bet as a bluff in this situation IME. Now that's not much of a reasoning but I also guess you can easily find out many better hands to call this with. 78s 89s 8Ts, 55 66 77 and possibly quite a few others depending on how you play.

Much rather call with a3 than 55-77 and probably even 8x tbh, since I think this is Jx+ or air.

As Art said this line is very often value imo so I'd fold readless.

You must be right about the second part. Tbh blocker effect seemed minimal there so I went for absolute value ranking.

I'm not sure I wanna bet every 8x OTT though as I expect a decent measure of x/rai.

In 3bet pots some villains will check turns after flop cbet with both value and air. so i like turn check cuz we could get c/r'd off best hand or a hand with equity if we're behind. imo river can be a call or a fold. we def learn some things about v by calling.

bet-check-bet line is pretty much always a weak value hand. If it was 2 years ago, I think I jam because V would fold his whole range. Now days I think a lot of people say, I'm capped, so I call.

If the board was just a tiny bit scarier, I think it's a jam. As played, fold.

good stp% for a shove. -about 1 to .70 w/ a 3.2x river jam. $218 more for villain to call. You're line, in position, is consistent w/ a nut hand. Villain is getting about 2:1 to call River here, but he can't call w his thin value range unless he's skilled enough to pick off that bluff oop. Unless u have been playing losely, shoving here feels optimal.

Calling here loses too much value to the typical bet-check-bet line of middle pair and Jx
