Re: The Evolution of a Poker Player

good post ae, like others i agree that each milestone happens but not necessarily in that order, and those certainly aren't every milestone.
im working on the "get back into playing after an extended break" milestone right now

regardless, gl and i like you more now

Re: The Evolution of a Poker Player

sick post. I don't think AE should be bashed here for writing it "out of order" because I think the milestones come in different order for everyone. AE kind of touched on that when he said our minds are all different due to backrounds, etc.

Re: The Evolution of a Poker Player

ae, I remember playing 10/20nl with you at PCA last year. You seem to have grown tremendously since. In this past year you have become on of my favorite posters and an overall great contributor to the strategy forums. Thanks for the contributions. They have definitely helped towards my advancement as a player. I wish you well in your progress. You'll be beating the nosebleeds in no time, imo. GL at PCA.

Re: The Evolution of a Poker Player

i havent read the responses yet so i dont know if this has yet been said, but i dont think these milestones are necessarily linear. each one is definitely extremely important, but personally i felt i reached a lot of these realizations at the same time (and some of them im still realizing). great post, we need more of these in MSNL.

Re: The Evolution of a Poker Player

very good post ae. i identified with just about all the milestones you talked about. i've definitely passed or am passing through through them and it's interesting to see how just about everyone who makes it far in this game goes through very similar paths.

also, this quote was excellent. so true on all parts
