Bluff catching vs fish on 4 flush river

Poker Stars $200.00 No Limit Hold'em - 6 players
DeucesCracked Poker Videos Hand History Converter

Hero (BTN): $214.71
SB: $110.16
BB: $91.00
UTG: $281.58
MP: $215.00
CO: $221.67

Pre Flop: ($3.00) Hero is BTN with 5 4
UTG raises to $6, 1 fold, CO calls $6, Hero raises to $22, 3 folds, CO calls $16

Flop: ($53.00) 7 8 6 (2 players)
CO checks, Hero bets $30.37, CO calls $30.37

Turn: ($113.74) 7 (2 players)
CO checks, Hero bets $77.65, CO calls $77.65

River: ($269.04) Q (2 players)
CO bets $91.65, Hero ???

I decided to go for max value by betting large on earlier streets to commit him with anything he has. No sample on him but I know he's a fish (I don't play 200 much but he's 1-tabling and never seen his name before). I would fold if he donked halfpot or more (25% pot odds) but I get 20% now. Do you think I can beat enough random spazz to call here?

Re: Bluff catching vs fish on 4 flush river

These are large betsizes? The board is super wet and we have a sick but vulnerable hand against a fish. I don't see the merit in trying to balance to give ourselves room to 3-barrel in this spot.

Shouldn't his calling range be fairly inelastic on the flop? I'd go at least $40 on the flop especially since we have no reason to think he's some sort of spazz fish who's going to bluff a smaller betsize.

I agree w/ folding the river, but I'm curious about preflop. is that standard for you? unless he's the kind of fish who calls and c/fs a ton of flops I can't see why you would want to squeeze here. I would be worried about being susceptible to light 4bets from UTG if you're squeezing this light, as that compromises your ability to play pots IP against the fish. even if UTG ends up calling a bunch to keep the fish in as opposed to 4betting, you're still in a spot where you're multiway in a gigantic pot with a hand that much prefers to keep the SPR high.

Re: Bluff catching vs fish on 4 flush river

what is the reason for squeezeing the fish with 54s?
