Alarming News about Botting at Ongame

I am writing this post on behalf of a large group of MSNL/HSNL Ongame regs. As some of you may be aware, there has recently been much discussion of bots playing midstakes no limit on several networks. These bots are present on the Ongame network: The evidence is overwhelming.

We are not going to publicly present all our evidence as this could help the bot operators, but we have a large body of statistical evidence: the bot accounts all play a unique, unorthodox style. Although they vary their preflop games, they all play extraordinarily similar in ways which cannot be by chance. In a large number of frequent scenarios, the bots have extremely similar frequencies which are drastically different from all winning regs, and in many cases all players period. In some situations they take certain actions virtually 0% of the time where virtually every other player, winning or not, has a frequency significantly different from zero. furthermore, this style of play is not being taught or discussed anywhere on the internet. In a tight-knit community of regular players, no one knows the owners of ANY of these winning accounts, that all play an unusual style and win lots of money.

So what? Who cares? Why are bots bad? These accounts are CHEATING: they are breaking the terms of service we all agree to when we sign up for a poker site. the bots are bad for you whether you are a professional, a casual player or anyone in between. These cheating accounts are winning LOTS of money. They are either beating you, or taking money from players you could beat. Bots can play long hours without tilting or making mistakes, And they are improving constantly. Even if you can beat them today, you may not be able to tomorrow.

This is a combined graph of 22 alleged Ongame bot accounts from 2011.

The good news is, we can do something! Tell your skin that you care about bots on their network. Below is a form letter you can send to your skin and your affiliate.

Hello,

I am writing to express my alarm and concern that there are computer programs playing poker on your website, as discussed in this thread (http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/56...ngame-1112918/). These programs are violating the terms of service of your website, and are cheating. Having a safe and fair game is of the utmost importance to me, and I urge you to take serious and immediate action against any and all accounts that violate the fairness and integrity of your games.

Sincerely,
y.o.u.r n.a.m.e
Below is a list of all support lines from all active Ongame skins.

From what is evident, these bots play not only on Ongame. The suspicious play patterns have been identified on Ipoker, Party and Micro Gaming (which recently introduced anonymous tables). Our investigations centered around Ongame though. We encourage players of the other sites to form groups and contact us.

Thanks, this is a serious problem in the online poker world. Those bots have also played on Full Tilt until they were shut down.

Betsafe charged me $150 USD to take my money off their site because I refused to play in their games full of these bots.

Good luck with investigation OP, Email sent.

Also, is it possible to give some sample stats that support the case without giving anything away about the suspected accounts?
I'm willing to bet that if they are running at MSNL+ they are probably running accounts at SSNL as well and I'd like to investigate my db.

When I copy-pasted the whole text the link was copied as "http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/56...ngame-1112918/" and doesn't work, so if you're copying the text make sure to copy the link seperately.

Re: Alarming News about Botting at Ongame

Sure you have taken this into account but based on all the info in the OP, how do you determine this is bots and not a single person playing these accounts on multiple ongame skins?

Because then he is 100 tabling across several networks while sitting at the same table with multible accounts aka colluding.
