Re: AK vs a reraise (concept)

I played on party in 2006, I meant I want to go to 2006 and know what I know now.
I remember playing one hand where I open button and another reg 3 bet big blind , and I 4 bet aa , he tanked and said he folded qq for 100bb. Right now anyone is gonna be fist pumping getting qq in bb vs button

A very good question. In late position battles you can usually get AK in preflop happily. utg vs 3bet it gets more villain dependant.

lol good to see all these old names. Looks like I contributed a lot too. This thread was posted I think about 2 months before UIGEA hit fwiw. Some US players posting hands from PP too. Something to keep in mind is that about a year before this thread was started I read a huge thread on here about how poker isn't profitable anymore, everyone's too good, it's not worth it to learn etc. Funny stuff

Regs were very good back then and they would hand your ass to you. It was just different game, weakier trackers, very simplistic huds, no massive datamining, less tools to figure out some GTO approximations and no material available on the internet for learnign to play. It's just much easier these days to learn to play decently.
Yes, the games were softer but it had nothing to do with level of play of the regs but with abundance of fishes who kept donating to the economy.
Just so you know, usual line-up in Party 6max "back then" was: Durrrr, Lolo (one of the biggest winners in online poker probably ever), Dang brothers, Cts and few others who later became recognized stars.

Yeah pretty much exactly this.

I remember emailing Pokertracker support asking them to put a 3 bet % into their HUD, and they wrote back to me saying you can just easily estimate it on your own, don't worry about it.
