Villain is 550 effective and I have 700 effective, 9 handed
I open AhAs on bb at the 3/5
utg limps, utg+1 folds, utg+2 limps, LJ folds, HJ limps, CO limps, button folds, sb calls, I on BB raise to $35, UTG calls and CO calls.

Flop is 6c2c5s. I raise $50, UTG+1 reraises to $100, CO folds and I call.
Turn is a 9c. I bet $65, UTG reraises to $130 and I call.
River is a Js. I check, UTG bets $100. I fold. Player shows Ac6h, showing a backdoor flush draw on the turn and top pair top kicker on the flop.

The turn was a dangerous card, completing an open ended and a flush draw, so perhaps I should've folded on the turn as I put him on either a set, flush draw, or straight draw on the flop.

Where can I improve on my play for this hand? Should I have folded the turn? In retrospect, was I priced in to call the river?

IMO your play is fine until the turn. Leading turn looks like a weak play after his min raise. Stronger hands typically will go for a check/raise or check/call on the turn.

I'm check/calling turn and likely check/calling river depending on the card and sizing. A min raise on that flop looks like a pair + gutter or a mid pair (an overpair)

On the river, you're getting roughly 6.6 to 1 on a call. Given his range and his bet sizing throughout the hand, I think you're getting enough of a price for a call.

Hey Gordon, thank you for your input. You would check the 6c2c5s flop even if there is a fairly wet board for a straight and flush draw? The turn was a 9c which completes both draws, would you still consider check/calling then?

I agree with you that by the river I was priced in to call. I may have become overly risk averse when I thought too deeply into what he may have turned.

I meant I'm check/calling on the turn after being min raised on the flop. On the flop, I'm bet/calling almost 100% of the time. 3 betting that flop out of position puts you in dicey situations on the turn and river with both scare cards or not.

Yes the 9c is a scare card, but you can't automatically assume this hits his range mainly due to the flop min raise. In my experience, the majority of the time a min raise on that the flop means weak pair type hands. Players at this level are more likely to call on draws than min raise them. If the villain flopped a set, two pair, or straight he's either likely to raise bigger on the flop or wait until the turn to raise.

Pre flop raise is a little on the small size with that many limpers and out of position. I would have sized it to 40 or 45. c/c turn and c/c river. I would have never donk betted the turn. If you put him on a specific range of hands, and the turn completed them in your opinion, why would u ever lead into him? And again, your bet sizing on the turn is on the small end. He's never folding his draws or top pair right there. If your sizing was higher on the turn, he might have just called. Then value river, or c/c.
