Villain is running 49/37 over 40 hands, likes to see flop/ float with 2nd/3rd pair..
pre could be a 3bet, but at the time I was busy into clicking war at this other table so just flatted.
Flop I think lead should be best play, we don't have any back doors, and if we get raised, could fold pretty easy rather than c/c and have to make weird turn/river decisions. sizing is a bit small I think, love to see it around the 40-45ish..
Turn everyone folds except for the fish, I think we have to bet this turn to get value from worse king or flush/straight draws..
river is probably one of the worse river..any other option beside c/f?
In general on wet textures, I will bet less frequently, and size the my bets bigger when I do choose to bet. The reason is that I don't bluff as much on wetter textures especially when OOP, and since my range in these spots is weighted towards stronger hands, I want to have a larger sizing with my whole range as an overall game-plan.
When playing against a fish, I don't worry as much about balance though, and in this spot, the main reason I would bet more on turn and river (and pure bluff 0% of the time) is because he is going to have a much higher calling freq. than he should. Therefore, exploit him by v-betting thinner and bigger, and bluffing less/(never).
+1 I'd bet ~$45 on flop, ~$110 on turn (pot is larger now b/c the flop size is bigger, but still larger %) river is a nightmare, as you pointed out. I like a c/c vs that type of floating fish on many less scary cards but there isn't much you can do with that one.
