UTG limps. UTG+1 limps. Cutoff limps.
You have KK in the SB. How much do you raise for long term +EV? I think $65-$80 is the right range, but a friend says I should raise to $120ish. Rationale for my $65-$80 range is that you could hide the strength of your hand since it's possible you would also raise to this amount with other starting hands, and I think it's enough to get just 1 or 2 callers.
But at $120ish, it's possible everyone folds since it's so much, and you wasted an opportunity to make money with a premium hand. Also, it's unlikely you would do this with less than a stellar hand, so limpers who are trying to catch a set or two-pair with position, can put you on a hand more easily.
I'm not sure, and I'd love to hear other players' thoughts, constructive criticism, and feedback. Thanks in advance!
Live play is just different, online there wouldn't be all this limping in the first place. But you have the worst possible position, so I'd like to make it quite big. I wouldn't mind getting it heads-up to the flop. I'm not a live expert, but I'd probably make it 100 or so. It is really not bad to take down 4 bb preflop, even with pocket kings.
