this thread is just great. I'd love to watch the match. never played much with Marshall but back in the pre BF days used to start tables with zach all the time when he was just starting HU. he learned and adapted very fast and was probably a lot better than I was and was probably exploiting my tendencies and sizing while I was still playing a robotic strategy.

If he's made a concerted effort to get better at HU I can understand why Marshall chickened out of the bet. I wouldn't want to lose the money and people's respect in such a public way either. Probably not much upside for marshall. Maybe at least it's a lesson in humility.

zach, posting quotes from PMs seems like pretty poor form. and this thread is taking trolling for HU action to a new level lol. I definitely wouldn't play him if I were marshall at this point.

I normally don't post PMs at all but he specifically told me to post or he would. I assumed that meant I had permission to post about the PMs but if that was not the case I can obviously request they be deleted. PMs generally are supposed to remain private I just thought there was no way he'd ever have a problem with me posting those.
