3-6 with tptk against big turn bet

3-6 live game full ring

Spanish reg - 5k stack - utg
randomer - utg + 2
me - CO - 800 stack

Spanish reg generally plays very TAG. Hasn't really gotten out of line too often. Pretty solid player.

I've not been at the table too long and haven't gotten out of hand at al. been pretty card dead and ony played a couple of small pots and one 3bet.

I'm dealt ako

utg raises to 25
randomer calls
i call

The reason that i called, the sb and bb were playing super agressive pre, 3 betting a lot and not really folding often to 4bets. unfortunately they both folded this time

flop : A72r
Spanish reg fires 60
randomer folds
I call

pot: 84

Turn: 4c (two clubs on board)

pot: 204

Spanish reg bets 180
Me - ???

Re: 3-6 with tptk against big turn bet

If they're not folding to 3bets and 4bets much then you're going to get more value from your premium hands when playing against them. With that being said, I'd recommend squeezing to ~200.

However, as played I would call the flop and call the turn to then reevaluate on the river. Is there merit to raising the turn?

I would consider folding to a third barell depending on the card and/or bet size. Do you have any idea on his bet sizing here when he has/hasn't got it?

Do you prefer shoving in this spot then? If so, what combination of hands do you think Villain is holding and then calling/folding with? He can afford to call the turn and fold on the river though, right?

I don't think that he's bluffing here very often and generally he does bet big when he has it. Also it's I think it's pretty obvious that I have an ace a lot of the time. Not sure if he's good enough to put me on that and bet big to try and get me off it but at the same time my hand is somewhat disguised because of no 3bet pre

Re: 3-6 with tptk against big turn bet

firstly learn to use a hand converter...its obv a call on the turn, since u say that villain is not only super aggressive but also spanish, to even consider folding would be an abomination

Re: 3-6 with tptk against big turn bet

^^ he never said villain was super aggressive. That said am still never folding, I mean the only hands that really beat us are pocket 7's. If you were seen as a laggy player willing to make a move then I would def raise at some point, if not then calling down is the way to go.

I like a shove here, for a few reasons:
1) There are a few combos of AK v may fold. Unlikely, but if v is supernit, perhaps.
2) Some V's cant get away from tpgk, like AQ. Since your range is still as possibly wide as possible Ax+, its possible V is doing this with broadway ace.
3) If you call the turn, youre going to call the river shove, so before any other funky cards come out, shovel it in?

Am i thinking like a fish or what?

Those are rubbish reasons for shoving. 1 and 2 contradict each other and 3 is nonsense.
