Playing live 2/5 game full table. Stack sizes are as shown:
UTG ($250)
MP+1 ($500)
BU ($1,100)
Hero BB ($550)
Pre:
UTG leads out for $25, MP+1 3b! $75, BU cold calls $75. Hero looks down at AKo in the BB and I thought about this for a while and with about 100bb effective I decide to squeeze & jam it in hoping to take down the pot and if not, have decent equity against both MP+1 and BU ranges as both players are very loose and spewy.
Anyway, UTG calls off with AJcc and both other players decide to call it off with T6ss and 85cc respectively. A 5 spikes the flop and scoops whole pot.
Anyway, is this a profitable squeeze here? Could I have sized the 4b! Smaller? I just don't think that would be a good play with the given stack sizes but idk..
I think based on the stack size of the initial raiser, jamming has its upside if BU and MP+1 are that wide open. Calling definitely has its merits too. I think I like call>raise personally in this situation.
If I knew I was playing in a game where people would call my cold 4bet shove after a raise, a 3bet and a cold call with hands like AJ, T6 and 85, then I would definitely shove with AK here like you did.
Actually, if I just knew that MP+1 was 3betting really wide and button is cold calling 3bets really wide with hands like 85s, then I like 4betting here.
