Live 2/5 local casino. Mostly old man regs. 3 players had opened this 2/5 game with me from my 1/2 game where I had stacked one of them flopping the 2nd nuts vs. his over pair.

UTG limps, UTG+2 and HJ overlimp, SB completes. I'm in the BB with 22 and check the option.

Flop J28 (Pot $25)

UTG (early 70's, owns 275k condo in Sarasota, here for summer) leads $30.

UTG+2 (60's-70's, retired doctor, reg) raises to $90. HJ and SB fold.

Hero in BB starts hand with $395.

The bet sizing from UTG was a little strange. And UTG+2 is not known to get too out of line. We have 80 big blinds and bottom set. How are ranging these villains and how do you proceed given the action? Thanks for taking the time.

I probably just cold call the 90 to trying and keep the other fish in. I don't know how bad these players are but we don't want them folding, not sure if they will fold to a flop 3b?

On this board? Utg + should have a ton of combo draw combinations. OP what are stack sizes?

I think I would jam. The board is so wet and you really don't want to see a diamond, 7, or Q come off to complete the straight/flushes.

There is only 2 hands that beat your right now JJ and 88 and both are somewhat unlikely as I think most players put in a small raise with these holdings pre.

If you jam then they have a tough decision to make if they have a diamond draw or OESD. Even if they call and hit you can also redraw to quads or a FH.

Both players have me covered to start the hand and are on roughly $500

Lead the flop, so much better to lead 3 bet then to check raise the field. As played jam the flop for the reasons given above
