I'm not sure if FAAB is an option using ESPN, so maybe we could manually do this? Agree that FAAB is a nice option.

EDIT - this is an option, and I agree in using it. Settings have been updated on our league home page, and are $1000 in auction monies for each team. The auction runs once per week. If players go unclaimed, they become free agents and can be claimed by anyone on a first come, first serve basis.

The reg season division winners receive 1st round byes in the playoffs, so obviously a nice incentive. But I'd be happy to structure payouts the way everyone wants. Just toss me a prize pool payout structure in detail. We have $12k in monies to split up.

FAAB = Free Agent Acquisition Budget. Every week there will be a blind bidding auction where everyone can bid on free agents. You'll have $1,000 for the whole season to use to bid on free agents. After the auction is over (usually on Wednesday night), all unclaimed free agents (or players who are dropped in the FAAB process) can be claimed for free.

So it's not a live auction going on, but rather a blind bidding process over 2 days or whatever?

Correct, blind bidding. Get your bids in by the waiver draft date (wed night usually). For any player that receives a bid, the player goes to the team that bids the most. $1000 to spend for the season. Bid wisely.

Agree on FAAB. Byes should go to top two records, regardless of divisions- I'd be happy with no divisions. As far as payouts I'd vote for most points 1000, and placing 6500/3k/1500. Also cool with some sort of weekly win bonus for the last three weeks to incentivize lineup setting for teams out of playoff contention and eliminating third place money.

I get your point, but 3rd place is a decent consolation prize given that the playoffs can be a bit of a crapshoot and not indicative of the overall success of your season.
