Been out of the thread for over a month waiting until football because I f***ing suck at baseball and it ruins the sweat for me.

I also was down over $5,620.50 at one point this year in a week...it hurts. But you need a plan for it.

This is only an 18 unit swing at 300/pop, which is goddamn inevitable because #math. For ster, this is more like a 9 unit swing because he operates on the full favorites always betting model.

Not to get super statistical, but as a cautionary tale to everyone...this is INEVITABLE.

Please everyone...everyone...have a plan for the inevitable.

You will lose 10 units in a row at some point.

Change your unit size to support that, have a rainy day fund, or go get your Masters/PHD, but have a plan.

Also, good time to remind people that you are responsible for your losses as sucky as that is. If you are up with X, but lose to Y, and X doesn't pay, you still owe Y.

i think if you are OPPOSED to 7% interest (or w/e was suggested by MRGB?) in this situation, you should speak up right now. and if no one does it should just be a thing from now on that we all agree to - all new players should be told this upfront when they escrow

this would also help the freeroll problem. whoever lost to sterfry obviously never would have bet if they knew what was going to happen. but to me thats infuriating because im having fun sweating the games at the bar or casino or whatever, but nonetheless in reality im being freerolled.

Well said. I'm coming off a 10k downswing. It's always adventurous to find out how low the downswing can go

40-50 units seems about right though. To Drivers point, at 300-500/game, a 5k downswing is not only inevitable, it will happen several times during a season. Plan for it. Bank on it. Unless you are Luckybacon.
