Villain 500$
BTN 700$
SB 400$

Villain has been there 2 rounds and this was the first hand he has played

Villain raises from MP to 30$, BTN and SB both call and I call with J9s in the BB
Pot: 120$
Flop: 5s Jd As
SB checks, Hero checks and Villain bets 60$, BTN folds, SB folds, Hero calls
Turn: 9d
Pot: 240$
Hero, Checks villain bets 100$, Hero? Shove or just call, did I pay too passive on the flop?

Preflop is pretty close against 6x I'd imagine, this shallow.
Flop is completely standard, there's no need to inflate the pot oop here and risk not getting to realize our equity.
On the turn I prefer a check/shove, since there's too many rivers that can kill our action. We don't know enough about villain to warrant going for deception/slowplaying this shallow.

You should also buy in full. If you're uncomfortable playing 100bb+ deep you could move down a level until you're properly rolled for 2/5.

I assume you don't have J9ss? Then Flop might already be a fold, he 6x pre and then cbets into three people who should have quite strong ranges too. As played c/shove turn.

Yeah I did have Js9s, and yeah max buy in for that game was 500$ I am properly rolled, but I had lost 80$ in the hand before this one and did not reload yet.

You played the flop well for the situation. There's not much reason to get out of control on the flop since its HU against PFR by the time you close action. You have a lot of equity against most hands.

Check raise the flop and go from there, you've got a monster draw and even if he's got Ax you've got an equity edge. If he's got KJ, or a big pair like KK, QQ, or KJ, QJ or JT you want him to fold. If he calls the flop, jam the turn. Make him make a big call or try to push him off Ax, if he calls again you've got great odds to spike the river

Turn donk is cool line here imo. AP xshove is probably fine or call and donk rivs. not sure what is better, prob xshove.

XJam turn is fine vs live players. Don't think most are folding AK AQ even AT here

Get it in on the turn, so if A or 5 pairs on the river you don't have a way to getting bluffed out. If you have loser, you're never away from it with 90bb.
