Live 2/5 full ring, V1( good pro) : 1k, V2( good reg) : 700$, hero: 1.3k
V1 opens utg to 20, V2 3 bets to 60$ Mp, Hero is on the HJ with K♥️K♦️, decided to flat the 3 bet because ik V2 sometimes make ssome mistakes and gets stacked with overpair on low boards and if i 4 bet he can fold JJ, QQ or even Ak, so for my surprise BB who is a rec player and is on tilt cold calls, and now V1 tanks for a while and makes it 225$, V2 thinks for a bit then folds now i have a decirion either flat call in position or raise, since we are both really deep i flatted and we go heads up.
Flop is 9 4 6dd, he c bets 180$ i call, turn is a 5, he tank checks should hero bet this turn or check back for pot control? Hero decided to check back and river is a 6 no flush completed, now he checks again annd hero bets 200$, V tanks for a bit then folds.
Would you play the hand different? And why?

Preflop is good imo. Turn you can mix it up. I kind of like X back for a bit of pot control/deception but we can also bet. Nhwp

With a flush draw out there and I'd make a case for jaming. If you figured you were ahead you should have at least bet a third to half the pot.

Villain has like no flush draws in his range.

I agree. v1 raised and 4-bet early position with 25% of his stack. he is playing at top of his range, AA, KK, AKs, maybe, but maybe QQ.

i don't think he would 4 bet with 99, 56s, or 78s, so i would eliminate all straight and flush possibilities.

You put a thin value bet at about 1/4th of the pot to to give a him a good price to call with QQ or JJ. i think its well played.

Yeah, thats what i was targeting after he check turn and river i knew he didnt have AA,so Jj or QQ is on his check calling range for sure, it seemed like he had Ak

What is the point of pot control on the turn? Villain has put in 4/7 of his stack, what rivers are we folding if shoves? Seems like we are giving worse pairs and ax a free card for no reason, as well as the chance to bluff hero on river if a or flush draws comes in.

similarly, maybe hero should just ship the flop - I think villain's continuing range is relatively inelastic and you might have enough worse hands shoving you get more value
