Some internet player who very infrequently comes to play at borgata.
Thread shoulda ended here really. That pretty much sums it up.

Also to the live reg posting about internet players stacking off with TPGK 300bb deep, no those are just fish that play online, not 'online players'.

How tough are the live 10/25 games.. If I beat 400nl-1knl online, is this game easily beatable?

Guys, let's not start this flame war up please. There's already a pretty epic thread in HSNL about this.

This is one of those topics that's like an infection that takes over every thread it touches.

warlock was fkn terrible when i was there, i don't remember the other names well enough, except jenny who was too tight to be of any concern.

No one on that list is truly exeptional.

Thanks. I know that guy, and many people on the list. I'm horribad with names tho. . .

Gonna start taking shots in that game more regularly, but I usually play during the week, and it's difficult to get up from a fishy 5/10NL game to sit in that game when all I see are regs.

I played in the 10/25 no cap during wsopc caesars week a month ago. Tbh I'm not sure if anyone in that game except maybe 1 person could actually win at like 2/4 NL online. It was ridic soft and apparently every single person except one were regs seeing as how they all knew each other by name and were friends with every single dealer. They were all mostly unbelievable nit boxes who missed a ton of value bets, rarely bluffed, and were easy to take off hands for a while until they became weak passive stations. Just from reading tilyjoker's posts around here, it's no surprise he's one of the bigger winners in the game and I actually look forward to going back there to play more.

Was there last night at the 10/20NL. Anybody here also in that game?

When I got there in the afternoon, it was a bunch of old guys passing $60 around. The table opened up after the "night shift" arrived. At the table were at various times were Rob, "asian" Jeff, "black" Scotty, Pat, an older guy named Tony that plays 90% of his hands, Frankie Flowers, and the Captain. Warlock and "asian" Tom were at the table next to us playing 10/25 that broke.

Overall, a pretty good game.

frankie f'in flowers

who is tilty joker?
04-22-2009 , 10:50 AM
I always found interesting that "the best" lists always include players who are way too loose and immatrure/tilty to be consistent winners in the game that even semi-tough (not that 10-25 always is). Troy and Boris are prime examples. That's true for both no-limit and limit live games. If I had to pick the best "loose" player, Dino gets my vote. At least, unlike the others, he has the money to afford to play that style.

As far as good regulars are concerned, 2 Matts (Hank and Warlock) are definately pretty good players. Nice guys too which is a plus.

Dino.... is wealthy from outside of poker right???? he has so many exploitable tendencies its ridic. He does do some things well tho.

and yah both matts can play
04-22-2009 , 11:24 AM
Yes, Dino is a wealthy lawyer and not a professional. I didn't mean to imply he should be on the list of the "best" players. He just has a loose style that can be difficult to play against and unlike most "pros" he can afford to play that way and not worry about going busto.

I vote for the Colonel. The chips go left... the chips go right....into my stack.

This is an interesting topic since its hard to judge a players skill set and rank them...i have been coming to the high stakes room for the past 6 months now...
one kid that i have seen atleast 20 times now is this brown kid in his 20's...usually has some kind of beard ...almost always wears the same pokerstars jacket or dirty blazers basketball shirt and either a weird red phillies hat or a grayish yankees hat with his name on it. fat guy kind of tall.

Anyway I sat with him a bunch of times and only once did I ever see him get off a high limit table with nothing.

Seems like he cashes outs 2-3k profit each time he sits 5-10nl and saw him get up +10k at 10-25. REcently saw him playing 25-50 down till it was heads up and he doubled his buyin.

Dont know if he is a pro but I have seen him make some absolutely sick calls ...IMO he is the only guy that stands out since I have been playing there.

Rocco is way too tight, very easy to read
Jenny shouldnt even be mentioned in this discussion
Egyptian mike is very good but his range is narrow enough to not get trapped by him
Asian Gary is good but a super Nit
